Same issue here, Direct Solver is having issues.

I've linked the scene up to Emanuel, however its worth noting that Algoryx is working on projects that are actually bring them some traction, Algodoo is kinda on hiatus while the target market becomes actually viable. Software designed for schools doesn't really go too well when it requires machines from this decade...:/
Hm, Worth noting that I am an OSx user, I'll consider testing it in windows if I remember sometime. pnvv, what OS are you on?
To be honest, different platforms can produce different results in certain rare untested cases, I think you have to remember that in some areas people are using Algodoo in ways which aren't really tested by Algoryx and so it can cause a few WTH moments internally inside the application when a function in windows works slightly different to *nix based platforms.
Trust me, This hurts me more as an admin who has been a member of the site and community since like 2008, whom has the ability to start clearing this crap out, but no authority to do anything.

I'd love to clear out all the crap and 5 minute to create uploads, however we've been told that there is effectively no rule against it by a member of Algoryx, which means that any action we take would be going against Algoryx.

さよな, We shall dream of the day when the community is no longer infested.
if your mother wants you to have a clean mind, you're kinda on the wrong website. After all there is a large split between the older people of the community who have been here for years where swearing is part of the day. When you get older you'll understand that there is a difference between cussing your ass off cause you're irrespectable, and using it correctly in tone.

The issue here is that we've literally got our hands tied back, Message scenes are now allowed for some reason, back in the day they'd usually be deleted, however we simply don't have the authority to do so.

User blocks are stupid and tedious, the only way for them to be effective is to completly block them out of the front page, not the whole "user blocked" messages instead, it also requires a level of programming which just isn't really ideal with the current state of Algobox. The site was coded back in like 2008, while parts of it have been updated over time to work properly, the main code for the site is somewhat outdated architecturally, I've tried to get access to the code from Emanuel, however the current code state is really far from ideal and pretty much in his own words he couldn't torture somebody like that. Nothing against the programmer, he was a great guy and coding standards and methods have changed greatly from then, I may ask to take it on as a university project when that time comes, however that will be at least 2-3 years away before that part of the course starts so I might do a whole bunch of logging everything and tweaking dates and stuff, but I'd have to speak to Algoryx about the whole thing.
I hate the lack of a clutch, makes setting off a pain because the engine is too weak in idle but the body is too light so it just flips when you try to set off unless you rev like you wanna rip it to pieces

Also, unloaded the engine does reach the end of the scale
DLCs are a no. If you mean distributing multiple component we have .phi which is basically a zip of resources and stuff. Root directory is relative to the Algodoo folder in my documents.

Algodoo is a continuation of Phun, Algodoo improved and made the physics system more realistic.

The built in Algobox browser is an issue against the whole issue concerning the Algobox website and not Algodoo itself. Algobox is currently stale code, Algoryx ideally want to rewrite the whole Algobox system in order to make any improvements, however this is an issue as now Algodoo is a free application in order to improve its foothold in the education sector which is lagging behind in terms of technology. Needless to say, Algoryx wants to work on their commercial products and support their commercial customers.

Making people an admin for their number of uploads is just no. Admins are taken upon a "how they're contributed to the community and how we feel they'd be in a admin position". We don't want people being an admin because they was able to spam uploads.

Algobox improvements on this scale are akin to the whole concept as mentioned before.

Mods in Algodoo is a large on taking and causes issues with safety as well as actually providing an interface to load up modules and provide an interface for them to operate with in a platform independant manner, Algodoo wasn't really designed to be open, creating and exposing an API is a complex task in itself, creating the method of loading them up and providing them the ability to say, create a window in the interface, gets a whole lot more complex.

You can't say your point was misunderstood when your point was hardly there...
If you only say that your mother wants you to have a clean mind and she doesn't want you to see stuff like that, then thats all we can ever understand.
The rating banned group is the members whom are unallowed to vote on the website, users are placed on this list if they are unfairly voting others scenes down or other incidents of abuse regarding the rating system.

Also, Xray works as a repair tech on x-ray tubeheads and equipment.
Users going back to remove old contents is quite simply not something I expect people to do, humans are inherently lazy by design, it's one of the many aspects which has gotten us this far in the world, and Algobox doesn't exactly make mass scene operations easy, not even on the admin side, we practically see the exact same interfaces as you guys with an extra button or line of text here and there:/

Also, There is no need to run the scene, and if they still do cause an issue, just select one and use the menu to select all and delete them.
Last part I'm talking about the stars, I've not had an issue while reading back (Like I actually did that ;-;) but I saw no issues, but keeping the scene paused means they're not moving which shouldn't cause any issues. You can also use the "select similar" button in the selection menu on one of the circles and delete them all, they're all created using the exact same code so Algodoo finds them all easily.
Omg, I forgot this was in the rules!!!

"6. Upload a scene that is not meant to be spread as a scene, but should rather be posted on a bulletin board, market place, or other Service not in the scope of the Service's functionalit;"

I always knew it was an official rule as such, but last time I looked it was super late on a old as heck phone and I couldn't find it, but BAM

Also, you can usually capture most reply comments on "Verbally abusing users or staff is considered poor etiquette and measures can be taken without notice or explanation."otherwise repeated mis-use of the report tool could be deemed negative aspect but depending on the severity and contents of the reports it would most likely only be a temp ban at most.

I'm very loose when it comes to the rules, but I'm even looser when it comes to protocols in place for sanctions. you may get a warning, carry on you may get a second, but after that you're ending up with either a temp ban or a perm ban.

Age limits also don't work, especially as the tool we're talking about is really designed for use in educational institutes where users can be 6-18, it's not really about them using it, it's more about how they use it. Not sure of the law around the world, but over here in the UK you have to be 13 to be able to agree to terms of service documents, however parents/supervisors may accept it on your behalf (e.g. parental approval to use the software/service, not sure on the legality but it's usually accepted). Lying on the internet is also common and not exactly something you can do too much about, heck, the number of 10 year olds on facebook these days!
"You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service. "

I also don't like that line, it kinda screws a hole in an idea I potentially was planning to work on in my spare time to improve my programming experience! ;-;

Also, I'm sure that there are a few dozen people in that age bracket who create reasonable content however are over-shaded with those who don't,
We don't want to split it up, but when we have 1/2 of the community pissed off because of the other 1/2 spamming junk whom have no respect at all for the others. The guys whom have been working for as long as they have don't mind too much about the scenes, it's more the sheer fact that uploads are spammed to hell, there are 200 different things running at the same time which are practically just the exact thing with a different name or minor tweak.
start up algodoo while holding shift to reset the config file, either that or you've configured the mouse settings inside the system settings wrong

Just log into the website and upload the .phn file..
Scene files are stored in the same folder as the phun executable, if you used the installer in windows 7+, see this; http://superuser.com/questions/626465/compatibility-files-folder-in-windows-8
