@Leonidas3234, My recommendation is to make sure the sear disconnect is heavy/dense enough that the hammer doesn't slip past it. Also, make sure its travel and the primary sear/trigger and hammer engagement overlap, meaning that the sear is in a position to catch the hammer BEFORE the hammer even drops, and that the primary sear/trigger is ready to for reset BEFORE the semi auto sear releases the hammer. I've seen a number of guns before that will fire a second time upon reset if you're too slow because the disconnect releases the hammer too soon.
Algobox is lost. It's bad when the scene uploaded after this one, which took 3 minutes to produce, has many more downloads than this scene, which I toiled carefully on for well over 3 days. I'm sorry, but this is infuriating. These garbage scenes, and I'll happily call these thrown-together scenes garbage, have destroyed algobox. These scenes have fallen into a dangerous grey area, being spam while avoiding the label of such by technical means. Until this cancer to our once amazing community is cut out, I'm afraid I'll be leaving.
Thanks guys for all the support. I realize I may have come across as a bit harsh, and I want to apologize. I'll be staying around, but I won't be posting scenes very frequently.
This is a beautiful skin! The internals are lacking a bit, but I feel you're working on that already. If you need help, ask about it, and I'll help in whatever way I can.
gas action is cosmetic. Actually, true-blow-back is designed to keep backward pressure on the bolt or slide even after the slug has exited the barrel. it allows you to emulate residual gas pressure that would, in real life, continue cycling the action back after the round is downrange
That's just how the system works. It looks strange when you pay close attention to it, but it winds up having more modifiable properties than a traditional cartridge with 1 spring. It also winds up functioning more realistically (gases are still pressing the bolt back after the casing has been extracted. It's not much, but enough)
who's the butthead who's leaving low ratings on our scenes? I wish Xray could take care of that. Probably some troll with no mechanical skill raging knowing he won't ever get to this level
@pebble I've not retired. I've just got other things consuming most of my time, but I'll always float around here until the site dies or I do, whichever comes first. I'll always be making things from time to time, just not as frequently as I once did.
Thanks for all your support and the support of everyone else
Great work! if I get some time for this, I might give you a few pointers on how it works. The trigger's fairly simple, but it's timing that needs all the TLC.
