Great idea, kilinich! I will do that. :)
Because we allow only ONE user account per person. It's what you agreed to when you registered. You checked the box that reads: "I will not register multiple user accounts"

You do remember that, don't you? :s

Nice artwork!

I discovered this phenomenon a long time ago. Here are a couple of my scenes:

Laser Art Demo

and....

Laser Art 2.0
Very nicely done! SOOOOOOO SMOOOOOOOOTH
What "script"? I don't see any script at all in your scene.
His name is "Rube", not rude!
Just curious.... Why another Algobox type website? If you allow children making MR's and camps, then you will end up with exactly the same crap that we have here!
FL01 - Usually, a copyrighted image will show the copyright notice on it. The images that I used came from a free coloring book website. And besides, I do not use the images for profit, just for fun.

abcd123 - I have no idea what you are trying to tell me. Please use proper English so that I can understand you. If you cannot use proper English, then please do not post comments.

Thanks
Was it just a coincidence that the mass of the circular weight happened to be 2pi Kg? Or did you need to make it that particular value for some reason?

Interesting mechanism!
That makes sense. I hope that it works out, and that people will start to use it. Time will tell!
No
Nice trick, but I know exactly how you did it. I won't give away your secret so that others can try to figure it out. ;)
The rain effect is just a simple animation of a still image. Another name for an Algodoo image is the "texture" and every texture has associated with it a textureMatrix which defines the texture's position (X offset and Y offset), it's size (X scale and Y scale), and rotation (X rot and Y rot). You make the texture appear to move by continually shifting either the X or Y offsets (or in some instances, both X and Y offsets).

Feel free to use my rain animation in your own scene (please give me credit in the scene description). Just copy the "box" which contains the rain texture, and then paste it into your own scene.

It produces "zig zag" lines in the vertical direction. I think it's caused by the gears not meshing correctly.
"Stunning"??? Not really. It did exactly what you told it to do in the script. ;)
I made them walk up a ramp (not too steep) and down another ramp without any problems. They are interesting little creatures! Good job.
You must be dreaming. I checked your account and you uploaded only 267 scenes.

Anyway, the number of scenes a person uploads is not something to celebrate, especially if most of the scenes are junk or poorly made. Anyone can upload a zillion junk scenes, but it takes a special person with a lot of talent to upload just a few high quality scenes.
I know...
Thanks DrBalk. I appreciate your feedback and your kind words! :)
You said: ".... because Algodoo no longer uses DFP (double floating point) anymore." I did not know that! How did you find out about it? In the forum? :s

Is this even necessary? I mean, Algodoo already has a lot of different fonts, and they can be made very smooth by increasing the font resolution.
Cute monkey! LOL

I have seen this type of animation using rotating lasers before. It's just another common method of switching visible textures. I now do it entirely through script (instead of rotating lasers) because it is faster, and more controllable that way.

Anyhow, nice job as usual, Meestah Tomski!
I get it. Thanks!
Nice try, but MY SCENE is so much faster! ;)
Nice job, Mr. Tomski!

FYI - Here is a really strange animation method that I did for another user some time ago: Walking Man

And here is another animation that I did which uses no mechanical devices at all. It was done totally with script: ASCII Girl Dancer

OOPS! Sorry about not finding the Walking Man scene. That's because I deleted it when the other user no longer needed it posted. Well, I also have the magic button that undeletes things, and that's what I did. So, if you click on that link again, it should show up. (Ummmm.... Sorry, but I can't undelete Uncle Harry who died 10 years ago. My magic button has only limited powers! )
I use an image editing program called "PaintShop Pro". It's sort of a poor-man's "Photoshop". With it I can create gif and png images with transparent backgrounds. It's very useful for editing images for Algodoo scenes. There are some good free photo and image editing programs out there, but you will have to do some searching to find them, and to find one that will do what you need it to do for Algodoo scenes.
@Algodooper - Please don't cause trouble with people by name-calling. We want people to feel welcome here. Not bullied.

@Marbles MCC - Your message is confusing because at the beginning of it you stated: "I probably won't return to Algodoo.", and then at the end of the message you stated: "If I get motivated enough, though, I may come back." When people say stuff like that it usually means they are looking for attention. You also mentioned about joining camps: "and if I do join and I get either no comments or hate comments, it kinda makes me feel unmotivated." Well, you need to understand that Algodoo is not about getting comments. Sure, it's nice to have people tell you what a great job you did on a particular scene, but if you get no comments at all, that doesn't necessarily mean that your scene is terrible or not liked. Many people are lazy, or they just don't like to leave comments for whatever reason.

If you do later decide to come back to Algobox and post scenes, I suggest that you do it without worrying about getting comments. Just do the best job you can, and sometimes people will comment and sometimes they won't. It's just the nature of how things are. And if you can decide to not let it bother you, then you will enjoy making scenes with Algodoo a lot better!

Take care....
Hey Meestah Tomski.... Why not control the animation with script? That way you are not limited by the number of collision layers, and there are fewer mechanical things (actually NONE!) to glitch and to break. Take a look under the hood in my ASCII Girl Dancer. The script may look complex, but I could walk you through it if you want me to. Just a suggestion...
Nice game for kids! Well thought-out.

I do have a suggestion if you want to make a good game even better..... Add a scoring system and a timer. The player gets points (say, maybe 100 points for each item found), and they have to find as many items as they can within a certain time period (say, maybe one minute).
