Click on a random part of the fish (one that is only for looks, and isn't functional) and set it's inertia multiplier to -inf. Then set the airfrictionmult of the whole fishie to 6.25, and set the controlleracc of the whole fishie to 120.
I got the extra boxes by simply adding things like e.geom.variablename=variablevalue into the laser's onlaserhit menu. That way, the attributes are loaded into the object's script menu as soon as the laser hits the object. This also means that you must run the sim for a little bit to get the phunlet to work and the values to appear. I'm not sure how to get the speed into a box text other than replacing the circle with a box and using text = {"" + speed} or replace e.geom.speed with a scene.my variable.
Is there any way to check the accuracy of this? Because it appears to be more accurate than the velocities menu, but I have no absolute reference...
Only if you want to go fast. The scene is really about the cannon, the helecopter and turret were added as an afterthought, although I might make another scene about them later.
But for now, you can just see controlling the helicopter as part of the challange
So you've deleted the config, autosave, onexitsave, backed up your scenes, uninstalled, deleted the "Algodoo Phun Edition" folder under My Documents, reinstalled, and it still didn't work?
You know, I haven't even memorized what the values of that function do, and I wrote it! *checks legal pad with notes on it*
Okay, so the formula to graph an ellipse is 1=(x-x1)^2/A^2 + (y-y1)^2/B^2 Link to equations
So if you graph it (using a graphing calculator, preferably), A is horizontal width of the ellipse, and B is the vertical width of the ellipse. X1 and Y1 are the xy coords of the center of the ellipse. See for yourself
All the function does is replace the = with <=, to check if a point is in an ellipse, rather than to graph one.
Cool. Am I the only one who finds it obvious that the hidden switch is right below the word "hidden"?
Needs a bit of cosmetic work, but this could be pretty epic... There is more to this post than meets the eye... Such as undetectable invisi-text--the post box is conveniently white. So now I can write things and unobservant people will never know. Anyway, good scene, SE, and I like how you put the technology to use.
