I don't understand how you can get a time of 360 when the Remaining Time timer times out after 60 seconds! :s How did you do that? :o
guppy - Rather than just criticize your scenes, I'm going to give you some constructive feedback that hopefully you can learn from. The reason why no one likes your scenes is because they are very simple and took little or no effort to make. On this Nissan scene, for example, it is nothing more than a picture of a car that you cut up with the cut tool. Almost any eight year old child could do that.

If you want people to admire your scenes, and if you don't want people to poke fun at them or insult them, then you need to spend more time and effort on them. I know that you are new here, and so no one expects your scenes to be expertly made, but at least spend more than five minutes on making them! Show some effort, and maybe people will be more likely to praise you rather than insult you.

Just a friendly suggestion for you. :)
Well said, faytree!
I cannot allow this type of scene on Algobox, and so it is getting deleted.
Hero? Sorry, but I do not consider Satoru a hero. He is just a guy who made some great video games. A real hero is someone who risks or sacrifices his own life to save someone else's life. For example, the true hero's of the world are the men and women in public service, such as police officers and firefighters.

I don't mean any disrespect to Satoru or anyone else who died, especially if they were good people. I just take issue with calling them a hero. The same goes for sports athletes. They may be real good at batting or throwing a ball, but in my eyes they are not heros.

Just my humble opinion. :)
@Cahir and faytree -- Why don't you guys quit insulting each other and try to get along?

Sometimes I feel like I'm a daycare teacher watching over a bunch of bratty kids. (Xray slaps his hand against his forehead and shakes his head in frustration)
I removed his NEW account because we do not allow more than one user account per person. His old "cata" account is still active.
I don't understand what happened. I only banned his new account called cata_next which had only one scene uploaded under that name. I just now looked at his old scenes, that were made under the name cata, and they are all deleted (They are not actually gone, just moved to the deleted group)! I did not delete them, so I wonder if cata deleted his own scenes for some reason. There are 46 of them.

I'll try to contact him to find out what's going on.
As if marble races aren't bad enough, the kids now have invented an infinite number of stickman poses, and they seem to have the need to share those poses (every one of them) with their fellow Algo-whatever-thon friends! :bonk:
"A: Pause while swinging." -- Oy Vey! The human mind is so inventive when it comes to cheating on anything!
SA - If you have something important to say to Emanuel, it's much better to contact him via PM (Private Message) in the forum. By posting a message scene, he may or may not see it, and everyone else WILL see it!

Just a helpful suggestion for you! :)
mat8 - Do you realize that his tournament-4 was done almost a year ago in September 2014? He may not be doing another tournament. :s
SA said: " and the admins like Xray would delete every scene that is in the wrong category!"

Gee, thanks, SA! I guess what little sleep I now get will go away! :o

Well, seriously, I agree with your suggestion, and it sounds like a good one, but it also sounds like we would need to put more Admins on the job because I cannot be watching over every scene that gets uploaded 24/7. Right?

@Ultragamer564 - I understand your concern and I have heard that argument before, that the kids will not be able to learn anything if we separate the kids from the adults. Well, are they learning anything NOW from the adults? They would not be restricted from viewing the advanced portion of the website, so they could still learn by viewing advanced scenes. But if you are concerned that adults would not be able to teach them directly, that's not true because the adults (maybe it's better to label them "advanced" users) would be able to access the junior portion and show them how to make scenes. But if that kind of activity is not happening now (and I see little or no evidence that it is) then it will not happen if the site gets split! We need advanced users who are willing to teach the kids, and that's true regardless if the site gets split or not.

Great looking scene!

faytree - I cannot "pin" scenes (we also call that making them a "sticky"). Only Emanuel has the ability to do that which requires changing the date on a scene to some future date. But I was told that sticky scenes, such as the one I posted for Emanuel, are only for "official" announcements and notices that need to be viewed by all users. I doubt that Emanuel will allow scenes like this one to be made a sticky. But it doesn't hurt to ask! So, if pnvv wants to make this a sticky, he can contact Emanuel through the forum Private Message system.
Your 3D effect is not quite right. For example, if you compare your rotating crosses with pnvv's rotating crosses, you will notice a marked difference. In order to get the proper rotating 3D object, you need to sandwich a large number of crosses and axles in a row, and each will rotate individually on its own axis, even though they are all rotating together. Maybe pnvv can give you some pointers to help you out.

Nice try! It just needs some work. :)
The blue element of the color array lost its value for some reason. When a variable is supposed to have a valid number (between zero and one, for example) but the variable got corrupted, then Thyme will label the value as "NAN" which means "Not A Number". If you change NAN in the blue value of the color array to any value between zero and one, then everything will work correctly.
The same way you change the value of ANY variable. Just select the NAN (highlight it) and enter your new value (Such as 1.0). When you press the Enter key, the new value will be stored in that variable. SIMPLE!
@samols - What the heck are you talking about? First of all, you've made only NINE scenes since you started coming here to Algobox about a week ago! Now, tell me why you think you will need to delete everything?
Important Message?:s Must Read? :s Says who? Says YOU? You are a newbie here on Algobox. You started making scenes in March of this year, and yet your message makes it sound like you have been around since the days of Phun.

I completely disagree with your scene message that it's inevitable that MR's and Algo whatever they are called, will take over Algobox. There are still a lot of senior people like me who do not make MR's and colored stickmen scenes, and we will be around a lot longer than MR's and Algo whatevers.

You have your opinion, and I have mine.
@abcdefg - When I put together two senseless statements such as "but that" and "draw a thingy outside the gear", they make an even more vague, ambiguous, and nonsensical statement.

If you do not understand what I said, I completely understand.:s  :bonk:
mia555 - You've only been on Algobox for a little over a month. Just don't worry about how many subs you have because it's not all that important. The important thing is that you make good scenes that other people enjoy playing. Over time you will get more subs, and when you start to get really good at making scenes, you might even get a reputation for someone who makes great scenes!

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
@SA - I couldn't have said it better! :tup:
The Linkage - No, we do not limit the number of scenes uploaded unless a person is obviously spamming, or if a lot of people complain about it. I often "strongly suggest" that people limit the number to five per day, but they won't go to jail or be burned alive if they upload six.
I dare you to make a scene that isn't a waste of time, and it actually DOES something.
Why not make a scene that people would enjoy playing, and that you would be proud of. This scene is simply just a waste of everyone's time and energy.
Ditto
Well, I'm a little too old to be playing marble races, but I looked for that one anyway. The scene that you call "BLOSICS MARBLE RACE EDITION LEVELS 1-5", is nowhere in your entire list of scenes. Are you sure that it's the correct title?
Well, it would be nice if you gave me ACCURATE information. )|(
