Oh just noticed you can easily increase/decrease the constant to -100, Just got 2760 hp(1966rpm*10000Nm/7124) out of it and surely you can get way more power out of it! Ridiculous...
Thanks everybody! Much appreciated! well when it just idles i get 100% realtime but if i give it full throttle i will land at about 50-60% realtime and im sitting on 4,2 GHz amd 6 core. Whats your simulation speed guys?=)
I have algodoo 2.1.0 b8 and in that version the car get som strange jitter when engaging the clutch and the car cant move at all! But if i enable show forces and use the make scene more stable it works, really strange and i dont know what causes it but i guess its only in the never versions of algodoo?
Anyway it worked like a charm when using the forces physics mode! Great build and surprisingly powerful fuel Engine! =)
Algobot, it dies of because the laser in the primary somehow messes up the position of the hinge in the primary after a while!
If you know how to do it ypu can just change it so the laser is attached to the car an points at the primary itself instead of the circle in the middle of it, this will make i work aslong as you want i belive=)
I may update it later so that i works, i just made this to show of some of the nice concepts and Creations of The linkage working together! it sure is fast;) have Phun!
It is the two clutch hinges that seems to somehow zero out all the velocities of the bodies attached to the car body so that everything exept the Wheels and suspension just dead stops for random updates. Funny thing if i pull the car up into the air and hold up and left arrow the car gets stuck in the air until i let go
Easy fix for me with 2.1.0b8 was to just make those two hinges legacymode 0 and it all works like a charm! =)
I suggest you change them since i don't think it affects the performance at all(i can't notice any stretching at all and it goes up to 88Km/h)and it probably is the same problem these other folks have.
But at least for me sitting on algodoo 2.1.0b8 the script in the ignition lasers makes the lasers get collideset 11 as soon as the lasers collide with something. This is due to the on laserhit script in the lasers declaring one set collideset(the same as the "explosion balls") and erasing your variable.
There is an easypeasy fix for this thoug, you just need to put an colon before the equal sign in the values like this:
The Linkage, i would like to talk to you about an idea i have for this car since i cant seem to get a grip of how you have built and scripted it. via Email or skype or something?
uhm? i cant se why this would be any better than the original? And theres no hinge motors in the orignal exept the two in the rear suspension wich i left in there but you arent supposed to use them to drive de snowmobile. Throttle is the only Control.
The speedo actually shows mp/h not km/h, if you multiply scene.my.scene by 3.6 instead it will show km/h as the dash says:) Other than that its just excellent! 10/10
Peak power 40 hp @ 400-500RPM(600-700Nm) Peak torque 850 Nm @ 220RPM
Here's a chart i made(i was bored) http://sdrv.ms/1f6KXt0
The Ecospawn has very smooth power production, It delivers 38 hp @ 550RPM(500Nm) and 37 hp @ 350RPM (750 nm). So essentially it produces ~40 hp from 350 to 550 rpm
This is just some quick numbers I got but it should be accurate enough:) I tested whitout the fuel pump and fed it manually to have full fuel lines.
its hard getting power out of bse engines:/ But its an great engine nonetheless!
I use N/m*RPM/7121 same thing, just skipping the torque conversion:)
I have been fiddeling around with an scripted dyno thing that does all that for me, i just choose what RPM i want the Engine at and then it brakes it down to that RPM and calculates hp.
I would release it but it feels to beta yet, i could send it to you guys if you are interested at having a look? im sure you would figure out how to tune it for different Engines:)
I took v1 of this Engine, scaled it down to 10% and upped the density of the rotors, spawn balls and c-gears and it made about 10-11 hp@550rpm wheiging 67 kilos, but v1 is to unstable. Something interesting i noticed is that it looses Power fast under ca 300 rpm so it kinda behaves like an wankel(high revving)
