Интересные сцены. Хорошо!

Interesting scene. Good job!
Thanks TheCareditior! :)

The magnet was made with 400 turns of 14 gauge enamel coated copper wire. It draws 14 Amps at 120 volts DC.
Thecareditior - All of the scene geometries are on Layer-1 (the scene defaults to Layer-0, that's why you cannot move anything with Algodoo tools). To access the magnet script, you must select Layer-1 by right-clicking on the background, and then select Layer-1 by clicking on the word "Layer 1". The word will change color from white to red when it is selected. Then you can edit the scene and/or look at script.

bugsbunny - I don't know why it doesn't work for you. It may be the type of computer you have? Make sure Algodoo is running, then press the S key. The "Game Over" and the instructions text should disappear, and then you should be able to move the magnet with the arrow keys.

s_noonan - The magnet was rated for intermittent use only. It will overheat and fail if energized for more than 5 minutes (300 seconds). ;)
Thanks!
Very clever! The cam profile looks counter-intuitive that it would produce the resulting wave shape. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so they say.
Take a look at other wankel engine scenes to see how others have done it. You should be able to get some ideas from them.
What are you trying to do?
I think the directors are not working correctly. They seem to "open" and "close", rather than direct the exhaust up or down. If you click on the "Reverse" checkbox in the upper axle, then the directors move correctly (I think). Am I right?

"go to get down by gears" Huh? What is that, a secret code or something?
Contrary to popular belief, there IS gravity in space. It just has a lot less effect on things the farther away you get from large celestial bodies such as planets, stars, and asteroids.

I believe that you would be able to play Tennis in space, but of course the rules would have to be different from playing Tennis here on Earth. For one, there would be no ground for the ball to bounce off of, so the players would need to hit the ball from racket to racket (as depicted in my scene). Also, the players could theoretically be many kilometers away from each other, because there would be no effect of slowing the velocity of the ball as a result of no air resistance. I imagine that the ball might be a little larger than it is here on Earth as a result of the pressure differential.

Can you imagine how difficult the job of "ball chaser" would be in space?!

When I start Algodoo, nothing happens. What is this supposed to do?
Good idea for a scene, but I think it could be improved with a few suggestions;

1. Some people might look at this and wonder what is going on here. At the very least it should have a basic explanation of what the scene is demonstrating, and also some basic instructions how to use the scene. It's not obvious to someone who doesn't have a clue what a strobe light is.

2. You and I both know that a strobe light made with Algodoo is very speed-limited. It would be a good idea to explain the limitation.

3. Many strobe lights (like the real one that I happen to own) can be operated in two modes: Triggered and Free-Running. It would be nice if this scene were able to demonstrate both modes of operation. The trigger signal could be from a laser shining on a rotating circle with a small square on its edge that interrupts the laser once during each rotation, which triggers the strobe. Add a switch to select Triggered or Free Running.
Cool!

BTW - Don't worry about people judging you. Any nasty comments will be deleted, and if they persist, then the user will be warned (by me). If they continue being nasty, they will be banned from this website. We Admins want to keep this a fun and educational place for people to show off their Algodoo creations.
Oh, you're making me blush.

Thanks!
This works pretty well, but if you reduce the "restitution" of the rails that hit each other to zero, then the switch won't bounce like it does now. Just a suggestion....
s_noonan - No, I did not use any script at all.

Hint: Take a look at my "Backward Laser" scene for some ideas. ;)

If no one guesses by this evening how it was done, then I'll give the solution.
lifestyle94 - YOU ARE CORRECT, and that makes you the winner of my silly contest! Congratulations!
Is there something missing from this scene? Arrow keys do nothing!
Nicely done. The tape reels even warble a little just like they do in a real cassette! The only thing that's not quite like real life is, the diameters of the tape coils do not change even after running for 15 minutes. I realize that it would be difficult to do that, but it sure would add some realism to the scene if you were able to do that! If you do decide to do that, then it would be great if you could also add fast forward and rewind functions! ;)

Update: I worked on my own version of a cassette tape which I will soon upload.

Kenny had a fun time until the washer entered the SPIN DRY cycle! :o
Nice scene, but it has a flaw. When the items start to heat and turn red, they do not cool down when the laser beam is removed or reduced in intensity. If you can fix that, then it would be more realistic.

Good idea for a scene!
s_noonan - I had a feeling you were going to pick apart my inaccurate delta diameters and reel speeds. As I mentioned in the description, I was not concerned with accuracy when I made it. I just wanted to make a cassette that was "visually believable". Please be my guest if you would like to improve it or embellish it.

Thanks for the critique.

Nice effect! I did something similar about a year ago. In my case, the light follows the mouse cursor: ARRAY COLOR FOLLOWS MOUSE

By the way.... WELCOME back to Algobox! I hope to see more of your awesome scenes in the future!

I did a similar scene a few months ago: FLASHING DOTS ILLUSION
s_noonan - It's SUPPOSED to change color as the tape moves from one reel to the other. After all, it was made by Realistic!

Thecareditior - Yes, I did delete your announcement scene. And the reason was for: READ THIS!
Hi wild bill -- Awesome scene, as always! Yes, the smoke does stop working after a few seconds. Except for that minor glitch, it's a really nice scene!

EDIT - The smoke works correctly now. Occasionally, the pilot's right arm, which operates the Collective, pops out of joint (the poor guy must be in terrible pain). But it's still a nice detail that the operator actually moves the Cyclic and Collective, just like in a real Helicopter. Nice work!

I had to clean the pinch roller with alcohol in order to remove the oxide residue that you missed, but other than that, you did a great job on it! _o_

I may soon work on another piece of archaic technology: A record player (aka, a Phonograph).
Nice job.
Yes. According to the Collins English Dictionary: "Definitions. adjective. (of an engine) capable of being throttled or being controlled by a throttle."

By the way.... Nice job on the engine!
