Yeah, I didn't say that correctly. But cut me a break..... I was just a kid back then!
hi NSP
LOL thanks
Overall, nice work!

Cool!
After playing around with it, I can appreciate how difficult it is to accurately make and to work with a 1mm block.

That's not something that I needed to do for any of my previous scenes, and I doubt that I would ever need to do that in any future scenes. It's just too tiny for any practical purpose!
S: "One interesting thing that I found while making these scenes is that the natural frequency of a spring mass system in earth's gravity is dependent only on the spring deflection when the mass is at rest."

R: I haven't confirmed it, but my assumption is that the force/distance curve of Algodoo springs is linear (i.e., bound by Hooke's Law). I think they would need to be linear in order for the above statement to be true. What do you think about this?
Awesome. Thanks!
Nice idea but it won't work because laser cutters do not reflect off of objects like regular lasers do. Try it!
The A and D keys move the player left and right, but the W and S keys do nothing. Is that right? Shouldn't W and S keys move the player up and down?

Oh, by the way, you wrote a lot of things to remember in the scene description. It would be best if you showed those instructions in the scene so that people can see them all the time. Just a suggestion.

I think that's the joke, algodooper! You can only zoom IN not out.
I don't think Algodooper realizes that the picture is an animation! I didn't know that until I clicked the RUN button.

Did you code that all by yourself or did you "borrow" it from someone else? Just curious.
That makes no sense. <_< Are you trying to be funny?
Great! Do it whenever you have time (or don't do it at all). The choice is up to you.
Those changes you made are excellent. I still can't control the player motion without getting killed by that crazy block that swings back and forth, but I'm not much of a gamer anyway, so don't assume your game doesn't work correctly based on what I say. I'm an "older" guy, and so I'm not very good at playing video games like the younger people are.
This is the last scene that he uploaded back in October 2019. I don't know if he quit for good or if he is just taking a long hiatus. Most of the technical adults stopped using Algodoo over the past few years because of all the young children posting so many marble races, camps, and Algogicathlons (or whatever they are called). I wish that Algobox (this website) was split up into two groups (one part for children, and the other for older teens and adults) but that will probably never happen because I don't think that Algoryx will provide any more resources and money to improve it. :(
Great idea! I'll try it again but with the help of a cheat....um....er..... I mean time factor adjustment. ;)
Have you tried doing this in real life? I'm curious if Algodoo gives similar results to real life.
Quote: "switch on the plot of the higher pendulum and watch."

Response: Many users don't have a clue how to enable a plot, and how to properly configure it for the desired action. It's best to provide a button in the scene which automatically enables the plot, OR simply enable the plot before you upload the scene and leave it enabled.

Quote: "select the higher pendulum and rotate it by 0.1 degrees"

Response: Same situation as above. It's always better to provide buttons or other controls instead of expecting users to do things they don't know how to do.

Also, disable those annoying Algodoo clouds! They serve no purpose for a technical scene like this one and they are a distraction.

These are just suggestions, and you would need to know Thyme scripting in order to add buttons or other controls.

Oh, one more thing.... You named this scene Chaos Theory but it says nothing about the actual theory. Instead, it demonstrates a simple example of a chaotic system. Maybe rename it "Chaos example" or something similar.
Cool!
This truly is awesome! I'm not a nuclear chemist, and so I have no idea what to do with it, but still, it looks like you've put a lot of time and energy into making it. Nice job!
LOL, that guy has the same kind of bacon hair as the guy in MY SCENE .

Please everyone, let's keep the comments to questions specifically about "Subscribing". I don't want to clutter up the comments section with nonsense comments and idle chit-chat. Any off-topic comments will be deleted.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Well, I disabled comments for this scene because too many young children were not able to resist leaving silly and nonsensical comments. They ruined it for everyone else. So, from now on if you have questions, just read the text in the scene and the few comments that are here, and figure it out for yourself.

What it's like to be copied:

That skinless human body is probably the most copied item in the entire Algobox archive! The first one was posted back in 2009 when many of you kids were still in diapers!

This seems like an overly-complex solution for a simple problem!

Anyway, concerning your scene, it has only one minor issue, and that is the "Instant Center Mechanism" gets stuck when closed and I try to open it. I found I could correct that by increasing the torque values on the two axles. I increased each by an order of magnitude, but I'm sure a lower value would probably work too.

Nice job!
Quote: "So it would snap on what is known as the L1 lagrange point..."

Reply: I respectfully disagree. I think the most difficult (or more likely impossible) problem would be trying to unroll the paper from 2.1 million rolls. I don't see how even the FIRST roll would be unwound without immediately snapping off due to friction, and due to the fact that TP is extremely flimsy. Assuming that a rocket would need to accelerate to at least 17,500 MPH to escape Earth's gravity, it would be impossible to pull the paper off a roll and then attach the loose end to the next roll (and do that over and over again until the final roll has been unwound).

TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE! (But fun to think about! LOL)

Egypt vs Israel? :s Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think it looks more like a kid riding a skateboard.
If you expect to have someone look at your scene to try to determine what is causing the "glitch", you have to first explain in detail WHAT specific glitch you are concerned about. When I loaded and ran your scene, it did absolutely NOTHING unusual. So, please explain IN DETAIL what the glitch is and then maybe someone will be able to help you to figure it out.
The problem isn't the picture. I think you uploaded the wrong Algodoo file with the wrong scene name. This scene is a kid on a skateboard, which is obviously not Egypt vs Israel.
What does "Send me a request" mean? If you are asking for votes, or asking for people to request a particular scene, then your scene will get deleted because those kinds of scenes are not allowed. You can ask for requests or votes in the COMMENTS, but not in the scene or the scene description.

Please reply right away.
