Okay, first of all you need to get rid of all those extra arms and cubes (why so many???). When you have only ONE arm and ONE cube, then make sure that it rotates properly with an axle (motor). Then separate the cube from the arm by selecting only the cube, and then hover on "Geometry Actions" and click on "unglue" in the panel that shows up. Now that the cube is not glued to anything, make sure that it covers the end of the guy's arm where his hand should be. Stick a fixate there which will glue the cube onto the guy's hand. Then in the fixate, you will see a selection called "Controller". In the controller panel you will see a selection called "Destroy Key". Left click on "none selected" and then press whatever key you want to cause the cube to get tossed. Enter is a good one, or Shift works too. The only key you cannot use is the spacebar because that is used to start and stop Algodoo.
Test the scene to see how it works. If it works like it should, then go ahead and upload it to Algobox!
Nice job on the scene!
.
Suggestion: There is a much better way to control the engine rotation than to tell people to change velocity and then to freeze it! That alone will confuse many of the young kids who have no idea what you are talking about. So, a better way is to uncheck the "toggle" checkbox for both thrusters. That way, they can press and hold the "Shift" key to accelerate the engine, and then release the "Shift" key to slow it down. Easy peasy!
This cannot work in real life. The cartridge case would rupture and if you're lucky, you would still have your eyesight. That's why all handguns and rifles have a barrel!
I see that you are using Algodoo "water" to simulate air resistance. Did you know that Algodoo has simulated air friction and buoyancy? You can turn it on and make adjustments to it via the control button which is right next to the Gravity control button at the bottom of the screen. Try it if you haven't already done so!
Hey Algodooper -- Don't be so serious! This game is hard to play but once you finally figure out how the game works, then it should be easier but still not too easy! I finally beat it after playing it about 12 times!
There's no thumbnail image! Maybe try uploading the scene again?
.
Oh, also, this scene shows "dsfops" as the scene's author. You must have copied stuff from him but forgot to put YOUR name as the Author.
No one uses Windows-Me any more. It is an outdated and much maligned O.S.
.
By the way, no, this scene is NOT the first shutdown scene here on ALgobox. There are actually quite a few. You just have to search for them to find them.
.
Lesson for a Newbie.... Algodoo is the physics simulation APP that runs on your computer. Algobox is the name of this portion of the Algodoo website which allows users to upload and share their scenes with others that they made with Algodoo.
.
Now you are no longer officially a Newbie!
Interesting idea, but as you probably know, it does have a few problems such as: 1. The head detaches from the body while in a tight turn. 2. When the scene is paused, the snake's segments can easily move away from each other, and they will not reattach when the scene Runs again if moved too far away from each other. 3. The segments easily separate from each other when another object bumps into them, or if the load they are pulling is too heavy.
'
There are other issues, but these are the ones I found right away.
Really? I'm here every single day watching over Algobox making sure people don't trash it. That's my job as Admin. And I do occasionally post scenes too.

ivylin1288 -- I usually don't mess around with gravity because it affects everything in the scene. I needed a way to affect individual lasers, and so I controlled each laser by dynamically shifting the mass and attraction of individual objects that are close to each laser which makes the beam bend.
It wasn't easy to get some of those lasers to bend exactly the way I wanted them to bend. You are looking at more than a couple of hours of experimenting to get things to look the way I wanted them to look.
How do you know that it's the longest spring in Algodoo? Did you search through the more than 188 thousand scenes in the archive to confirm your claim?
Nope, not even close! I made the fastest vehicle in Algodoo back in 2013. Take a look at the scene and read through the comments. You might learn something!
