A: I don't know, but that's not the point. The point is, some scenes may need more elements than the intrinsic For function will allow (maybe 256 or some other small power of 2). For most scenes that I can imagine, a person will never run out of array elements if they use kilinich's xFor function.
Comment: I know that xFor exist, but this is mine own code, looks more simple and I'll use it as long as it will work for my needs:D
Response: Of course! You can do whatever you want to do in your scenes as long as they do not violate the Algodoo Rules or the Terms of Service.
Comment: I'm trying to make a HUD display with menu, If you want to help, comment under "(NOT)working GUI".
Response: I'll let you figure that out for yourself. You seem to be quite smart, and so you should have no problem getting it to work.
One little glitch I found.... When a large number of characters (alpha and/or numeric) are entered, the font size decreases in the readout (as it should) in proportion to the number of characters that were entered. BUT, the next time new text is entered, even if only a few characters, the font size remains relatively small from the previous text entry.
Creative Projects -- Algodooper was being rude. You did quite well for someone who has been on Algobox for only one day, and who has made only 2 scenes. Sure, your scenes could use some improvements, but it takes time to become proficient at making quality scenes. Don't let people like Algodooper discourage you in any way. In fact, let me know if he/she insults you or says any more rude or nasty remarks and I will take care of him/her. I am one of the Admins here on the Algodoo website. The other Admin is wild bill. You can contact either of us by leaving a comment on any of our recent scenes.
I hope you will continue making fun and interesting scenes that other people might enjoy. I have made a lot of scenes since I started posting them here in 2012. You can see all of my scenes by clicking on my user name. As you will see, I make mostly games, and a lot of them are remakes from the early days of video games, such as Pac-Man, Donkey-Kong, and a lot of other arcade type games. I even made a claw machine!
JakubKubo -- I was making a joke about your comment because it is not necessary to make a statement that anything in your scene is free because we do not allow buying and selling anything here on Algobox. Sorry if you were confused by my comment. I was trying to be funny but, unfortunately, it doesn't always work.
Hey GoAnimateCPUAlgodoo --- My wife and I were watching a movie this evening that you might be interested in since you are a math wiz. The title is "UFO", and there are a lot of interesting discussions about math in the movie. It was on Amazon, but it may also be on Netflix or some other movie network. Here is a YouTube link to the movie trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxUcHrPhewY
Check it out! I think you would be interested in watching it.
No, you were not being stupid. You were just learning. Sometimes we make statements which are not accurate or may be confusing, but that doesn't mean we are stupid. We just need to learn better ways of expressing ourselves. And you are never too old to learn. I'm pretty sure that I am the oldest person who uses Algobox. I won't say exactly how old I am because it doesn't matter, but my point is, even at my age, I still have a lot to learn, and I love learning about new things and new concepts and new ways to do things!
You said you "will not fix that", but you DID fix it! The font size now resets back to its original 0.5 with each new entry, as you stated in your last sentence above. Maybe one of us is getting our parameters mixed up or confused?
Anyhow, it works as it should, and that's the important thing.
I like the name "GoAni". LOL How about that for a user name?
Unfortunately, the only way that you can change to a different user name here on Algobox is to register with a different name and password (actually, you can use your old password if you want to), and then an Admin will have to ban your old user account. We need to do that because we do not allow each person to have more than one user account. Also, keep in mind that once you register a new user name and we ban your old one, you will never again be able to delete or modify any of your scenes that are currently stored on Algobox.
So, if you decide that you want to register a new user account, contact wild bill and he will take care of the details of banning your old user account.
By the way, I do not watch movies very much either unless they are technical, scientific, or documentaries. I love watching technical videos and movies that I can learn from. Based on what you said, it sounds like you have the same taste in movies and videos that I have.
Oh, I was just wondering how old you are. You don't have to tell me of course if you don't want to, but I was wondering if I am communicating with a child, or a teen, or an adult. That way I can structure my thoughts and my words more appropriately. I certainly don't want to talk to you as if you were a child if you are in fact an adult. I don't mind telling you that I am one of the "older" users here on Algobox. I am probably old enough to be your father or maybe even your grandfather.
That's perfectly Okay. And don't worry about not being "popular" here on (or in) Algobox. I don't think that there are popular people anyways. There are a few "Marble race" kids, and there are some "Camp" kids who bunch together to play their mindless and childish games with their static scenes, but as far as I can see, there really are no particular popular users. You are popular with me and with some of the other "technical" people because you make interesting "dynamic" scenes that do things. And you like mathematics. So, in that respect, YOU are popular!
By the way, do you have another user name here on Algobox? There is another user whose name is xcsxItzJaceCraft who also makes cathedral scenes, and his Email address is very similar to yours. And he also lives in the Philippines. So, please be honest with me and tell me if you have two user accounts.
Oh... I didn't know what SCP-914 was until I looked it up with Google. It looks like it's some sort of extremely complex machine that modifies any object that gets put into it. It would be cool if you can make it do something!
Learn how to code. Then you will have all the power of the Universe at your fingertips! God coded all living creatures with DNA, and look what He has been able to do with it!
Thanks for your honesty. The only "punishment" is we need to correct the error. Since we do not allow more than one user account per person, I will have to ban one of your accounts. I assume that you want your old one banned since you forgot the password and therefore you cannot use it anyway. So, I will go ahead and ban it, and then everything will be Okay from this point on.
a bit of time. Wow, that's a long time! I think. Isn't it? Or, um... maybe it's longer than a tad bit, or a teeny-weeny bit. Or... Oh, forget it. For just a bit, Okay? Oh, NO, I bit my tongue.
You were right about that bad word, and so I deleted your comment that says the word, and I edited my comment with a different word. Now it's a bit better!
The language that Algodoo provides for making and enhancing scenes is called "Thyme". You can read through all of the discussions about it in the Algodoo Forum under the heading "Thyme Scripting". Just like learning any new language, you have to start out learning easy and simple things, and then your projects will get progressively more complex and more amazing as you learn more about it. It will seem difficult at first, but after you start making scenes with it, it should become easier and more fun to use!
But for mechanical misfits like me, could you please explain how to couple input and output shafts to this device? I haven't been able to figure it out without messing things up.
