They fear that "boredom" and "I'm an angry stupid child" could be not accepted as an explanation. I gave it 10 btw.
Really nice, but it breaks a bit too easily.
Very interesting concept. An 8 from me. And because it was great fun crashing every crash car I have either downloaded or built with that contraption at the end of the course I give you two extra points.
Oh, and something else: My PC is under low end and I had absolutely no performance problems.
Phun is not dead and it will not die. Algoodoo is Phun premium and I think that's what its developers wanted. Once it has sound I will most probable buy it but until then Phun is good enough form me.
No problem. You can also use the seat in my latest crash car to save some time. Thanks for asking, although it would not have been necessary as long as you credit me.
I really hope that this scene will get a rating of 9.99999999999999999999/10. From now on I won't write until my fingers start bleeding to tell people what happend because of the Algoodoo realease, I will simply copy and paste this link.
I don't think that it is possible to make a layer without changing its behaviour in an unwanted way. I don't think that it could work the way they do it with crash cars like the testapreta since the ragdoll should be able to deform without being damaged.
Update: Because of your request, ThePhunDisaster, I made one with a layer. And it was not even hard. Look at what YOU have done to me, what You made me do. You control my mind. Get out of my head!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Peculiar? Ahem... That's only a coincidence... Really...
Ok, the real reason is that there was still a tiny polygon left from cutting out the body of the bike. Now there are only 665 parts. (I found it when I put the bike on a white plane with a yellow background. It fell out of the body.)
Ok, with the latest update it has 667 parts now (improved foot limiters).
You're right. It was my first attempt at designing a bike and I used a photo I had. It was a street bike, but I wanted to use it for jumping and somehow I screwed the proportions because I made the back longer and longer to give the rear wheel more space.
Like I said, basically it was a prototype to see whether I could make the suspension. My new bike is better.
I did not add blood in the arms and legs because my PC is from 2000. And I have to say that this sucks. I can not play around with water .
If you want to add it feel free to do so. I usually delete it when I want to play with it. The blood is a kind of extra that does not change the ragdoll's behaviour.
Anyway, thanks for the comment.
Of course, it is not 100% realistic. The abdomen and the chest - both very important to keep the upper body in shape - are both made of one polygon in each case. If the wheel is too big most of the weight presses on these two parts and no hinge is affected by the weight.
Actually he has something like bones: the parts that are combined with 3 hinges. They hold him in shape as long as they are intact. They are a bit more elastic than real bones but they can breake, and this will make the limb instable/overly bendable.
Everytime I play around with him I think about it like that:
1 hinge broken = injury
2 hinges broken = broken bone
all 3 hinges broken = complicated fracture
Don't know why I haven't written this earlier. I always thought about it like that and in my opinion it explains his injuries pretty good.
Not organ injuries, of course. That's what the blood can be used for. If he looses blood the organs took damage.
I think it is a good idea to write this in the description.
I have updated Bob (this time it is the last time... at least I hope it will be). If you want to do it manually select Bob completely, then switch to "select polygons" and set their restitution to 0.1 (should be 74 parts). This prevents him from bouncing after deep falls like he did before.
Very nice scene. If you want to see something really disturbing set the rotation for the motor to 50. It does not always work but you will know when it did (has to do with his head).
One little thing: He often looses parts from crashing in and through the seat right at the beginning. The reason for that is that the seat has only a density of 2kg/mē while Bob has 72kg/mē. At a realistic scale so high differences can lead to problems with high force collisions. I think you knew this before but perhaps other people don't know it yet and this is a good example for this problem, although it does not affect this scene very badly.
Again, very good "Kill Bob" scene.
Select the circles the blood is made of (they should be grouped for the body and the head) and give them an erase button. In my latest uploads the erase button for the blood is "B" for example.
I love how famous Bob has become and how creative people are with killing him.
A few tips: 1. Don't use a fixjoint to hold him. If it gets deleted the part of the layer that was fixed to this part of the head will be loosened too (Really annoying. I encountered this problem a few times myself.). Use Hinges instead. You will have to use a new Bob or manually fix the top box to the top of his head.
2. The layer of his left arm is not painted.
3. Give the layer a colision grup too (G no selfcollision). Otherwise the layer will fly up once the body is gone. That looks a bit strange. I did not give it one in order to avoid problems if something is meant to go through him (the spear in the stair dismount level).
Besides these small issues really nice. I like the fact that you showed how Bob can be dressed thanks to the layer.
Careful with the collision groups. The lower arm collides with the upper body and the head. Could be easily solved by giving the whole mutant collision group B and only the striking arm A.
I think it works better with a restitution of only 1000. For me the bullets never went straight through him then.
If you want to make him stand upright look at my evolution scene. You need a hinge with a breaklimit of 7Ns attached to his chest right next to his right arm and his feet have to touch the ground. He will stand and if anything hits him he will fall down immediately. This way you could make a gun that you can fire off manually and Bob will wait patiently for his punishment.
I'm afraid I won't have enough time to work in a collaboration throughout the next few months. I'm just starting to study at the university. If you have any questions you can still ask me, of course. But don't expect to get answers right away. Sometimes I don't have time to check my profile for days.
I think it would work better if the cape had a colission group not used by Bob (G or F). Now it can stick in his back. And the right arm and the right leg are the things I usually move in the front. In this case the hair and the cape seem to be the things in the front. Only a tiny visual problem.
Besides that really funny. 8/10
