Ultragamer564 has been banned permanently. I have stated that many times already but I guess some people, including YOU, refuse to believe it. Algobox has been very peaceful since he's been gone, and I know for certain that if I were to unban him, the trouble would soon start all over again. That's not something that I want to have happen.

Now, since you've stated that you are SORRY for making that rude comment about me, it would be a simple task for you to edit your description and remove that comment. I would appreciate it if you would do that.

s_noonan quote: "It can be used to show what instructions are in Ravenplucker's code circles."

Instructions? I understood that your "Collision Layer Display" boxes were only used for displaying the selected collision layers, not instructions. And if that's all they are used for, then it seems a lot simpler to me to click on a code circle (for example) and in the Edit Menu just hover over "Collision Layers". That, to me, is a lot simpler and less likely to cause problems than dragging Collision Layer Display boxes over each circle, and hope that you are seeing the desired one, especially if the circles happen to be situated very close together or are overlapping. No offense, my Algodoo friend, but I just don't see this as being very useful. Your code is interesting and clever, but the end result is not. Sorry.
I didn't know that the collideSet display boxes were scalable. That would certainly resolve my concern about placing them correctly over the desired geometry.

One problem that I ran into while playing around with the collideSet display boxes is the hidden axles would occasionally get detached from the box, either because I was moving them too quickly, or they would not get selected for some reason just before being moved. So, it might be a good idea to make them visible in order to keep track of them.

Could the boxes be made to display other data such as variable values? That might make them more useful.

Thanks for your replies to my questions.

I'm starting to like this idea the more I play around with it! Would you be Okay with me making a modified version of this scene which will work a little differently (but will give the same result)? You will of course get credit for most of it.

I thank you in advance.
Quote: "I guess I still have puzzles on the brain."

So, does that mean you're a little twisted?

Of course you know that I'm just kidding. I would never say anything mean about people who are developmentally-challenged or about mechanical engineers. No, never!

Excellent work on the scene. You have been able to do something that I am still struggling with. I think my method is simply not doable, but I'm going to continue to work with it until I A: Get it to work, or B: Give up on it. :bonk:
@RIBI - I'm still working on it as time permits. I'm doing it differently than the way s_noonan did it, and that's probably why I'm having so much trouble making it work!:bonk: Check out s_noonan's latest twisty puzzle. He did a great job on it.
LastChance -
Graphing sine gives a sinewave. Same as cosine except 90 degrees out of phase with sine. No confetti or black holes that I am aware of.

Concerning graphing a sideways parabola, sorry but I have no idea. Maybe some math wiz (which I am not one) can answer that for you.
Oh, yes, the old "joint trick"! Seems we've had this conversation before.
Well, thanks anyways. :)
mat8 - Why? :s
He is not being punched. He is just banging his head against the wall.
Very good!
TheClankinator - I deleted your rating for you (yes I can do that!). I'm also going to send this user a warning message about posting other people's scenes without permission.
Faytree, my good friend from Malaysia..... I don't understand why some people feel that it's important to tell everyone that they were bored when they made the scene. To be honest, I really don't think that anyone cares whether you were bored or not! So, what's the point? Why say it?:s  :bonk: )|( :s EDUCATE ME!

Nice job on the scene (even though you were bored when you made it! LOL)

Sorry for the hard question. It's possible that there may not be an answer. And I'm just having some fun with you anyways. :)
I gave you a warning about uploading too many scenes over a short period of time. So, what do you do? You uploaded another scene! Don't you see something wrong with that?

Anyhow, if you can be reasonable and keep the number of scenes that you upload to a maximum of 3 per day, then I won't need to take any further action. I'm constantly warning other people for the same issue, so don't think that I'm singling you out.
pnvv - I had the same thing happen the first time I downloaded the scene. I then left a comment to faytree to tell him that the shadow doesn't follow the ball. But after downloading the scene a second time, the shadow followed the ball! I thought that maybe faytree edited the scene to fix that issue, but there was no evidence that he did. And so I deleted my comment about the shadow not following the ball. Then when I saw your comment, I was bewildered about it. What's going on with this scene? What line of code did you have to add?

Thanks
This is your FIRST Algodoo project, so why will it be your "final" project? :s
Let's blame it on the ALIENS. Everyone else does!
Phun User - Give me a link to the scene that you claim this user copied. I need more proof than "This guy stole my volcano!".

Thanks
This doesn't seem like any kind of game to me. What point is there in dragging the boxes around with the drag tool? Sorry, but it just doesn't make any sense.

@FRA32 - Here's what I got when I ran his description through the Polish translator on Google Translate: "you are blue / blue rectangle and white / white blocks are normal blocks acquisitions" Even after translation it doesn't make sense.

Nicely done! _o_
WOW! AWESOME! I'm impressed! GOOD JOB! _o_

Just one minor detail I would change. The timeToLive value should be very high or infinite because shortly after the image has completed being generated, the pixels start to disappear. A user may want the image to stay on the screen for more than a few minutes.

I gave you a 10 rating because of the complexity of the math and programming.
It was the complex math (imaginary numbers) that I did not know how to calculate, and that's what prevented my success. I see that you used a "raster scan" technique for plotting the pixels, which makes perfect sense. I was trying to plot a fractal by directly plotting the calculated x/y data points, and I was not able to make it work that way. I was doubly glad to see that you added color to the plot. AWESOME!
USELESS!
A Julia set scene would be awesome! Yes, if you have the time, I definitely have the interest in learning more about it. Right now, my free time is somewhat limited, but when I can get more free time, I want to pick apart your code so that I have a better understanding of it. I may (I mean, I WILL) have questions for you as I try to understand the math, and so I hope you don't mind me asking technical questions. :)

Just curious, what do you do professionally? You obviously are very talented with programming and math, so I was wondering what kind of work you do. If you prefer not to make that information public, then feel free to send me a PM in the Algodoo forum. My forum user name is the same as this one on Algobox.

THANKS! :*)
Good job! You obviously know a lot about Thyme scripting, and so I hope you will post more tutorials like this one.

Suggestion: In addition to showing some examples of scripts, it would be helpful if you could also include some text description of how the script works, and maybe explain when, where, and why you would use the various examples.

THANKS! :)
Very funny, faytree! (....and sad, at the same time. )
Actually, there IS a way to make a scene "sticky" (permanent) but only Employees of Algoryx (the owners of this website) have the ability to do it. It involves forcing the scene's posted date to be some future value. For example, if they want a scene to remain in the number one spot for one week, they simply make the posted date one week from today. Unfortunately, we Admins were not given that kind of "power". :(
@FRA32 - You are still in school? :o Holy cow! Given your knowledge of math and programming, AND your mature writing ability, I thought that you were an adult. Now I'm even more impressed than I was before! _o_
@FRA32 - Very nicely done!
I am beyond impressed.:)
