InsertNameHere - I passed a link to this scene to Emanuel to make sure that he sees it, and hopefully will understand the frustration that you and many other people are experiencing because of all the scenes that get flooded onto Algobox by new and young users.

I surely hope that things will soon get better so that you and others like you will decide to return to Algobox! Thanks for your well-spoken comments in this scene.

Good suggestion, pnvv! I'll consider it.
alasmyfoe - I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but THIS WEBSITE IS NOT YOUTUBE! It is called "Algobox". We do not monitor YouTube, and we do not promote YouTube. Therefore, UltraGamer will have to deal with his YouTube problems in some other way. We cannot help him at all.

Okay, no problem. But I have a suggestion for you. If you make a scene that you are not proud of, and you think that it's really "crappy", then it would be better to not upload it. Why upload a scene that people might make sarcastic comments about, or they might say nasty things to you? I suggest that you only upload scenes that you believe are good enough to let the public play and enjoy. Then you won't need to worry about them!

SuperHeroAhmad - If you are dead, then how could you post a comment?
Sorry, but I am confused by your comment. I have no idea what you are talking about. :s

But don't worry about replying. I have some work to do, and so I'd better get going on it. BYE!
Thanks for your bah nah hah, sir! (YUM!)
Anaminus - I've already done that! Copy Protect Your Scenes!
OK, give me about 5 minutes, and I'll have a multi-player version ready to beta-test.
drcreat ivity - That's TWICE you copied essentially what I first did in my comment. So, that means I must impress you a lot! Well.... um..... THANKS!
Wow, the mechanics for making the scores work are amazing! The ball moves rather slowly, and if you can improve that, then you will have a game that people will want to play.

Nice job overall!
I'm so glad you're happy, faytree! :)
Do you recall when I told you about s_noonan's scene: Play With Water ? Are there any parameters in that list you can use to change attraction?
Last edited at 2015/07/07 03:12:23 by Xray
I believe that's all the parameters for water that you can change. So, there isn't anything more. Sorry...
HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Very funny scene, faytree!

It definitely deserves a TEN in the Cleverness category!
I think that's been tried before, and with so many circles simulating water, it caused extreme computer lag. It may work if you can keep the number of particles (circles) down to some small amount.
You'll take it? Well, unfortunately, I do not have it. I recall that someone tried it, but I do not recall who it was, or the name of his scene. I will see if I could find it for you, but I cannot promise anything. In the mean time, you might try making artificial water yourself to see if maybe you can come up with something useable. I'll try to find something for you real soon.
This is cool! I like the way some particles will clump together until the bunch gets too large, and then they explode!

Fun to watch!
All of the gears are moving! It just LOOKS like the outer gears are stationary due to the stroboscopic effect. If you make a slight change to the sim frequency (change slightly above or below 60Hz), then you will see the outer gear move.

No bugs!
So far I was not able to find any useful scenes that might help you, but it seems like you are figuring it out for yourself!
Cahir2015 - Why should I go to great ships user account? Is he/she doing something illegal? Are they using profanity? Are they breaking the rules (Terms of Service)? If you answer YES to any of these questions, then you need to REPORT the person by clicking on the Report tab on the scene description page in question. But please be specific if you report someone. Tell me exactly WHAT they did, and please provide any links to scenes that would help me identify any scenes that are in question.

Thanks
Ultragamer564 - Sticky scenes are only for "official" announcements from Admins and Algoryx employees. If Emanuel were to make your scene sticky, then a lot of other users would soon be asking us to make their scenes sticky! Sorry, but it isn't going to happen.

Concerning your comment about you will try to not upload so many scenes each day..... Well, it's not a case of "try" but rather "Do". If you do not reduce the number of scenes you upload, then the flame wars will continue. I'm sure you don't want that to happen, right?

Ultragamer564 - You just don't seem to get it, do you? Let me put it this way: If you continue to upload a lot of scenes which causes people to start complaining or sending flames your way, then I will have no choice but to step in and do something about it. What I might have to do about it is something that you probably won't like. So, my point is, (Like Yoda in Star Wars said to Luke Skywalker) "DO NOT TRY...... DO!"
ok
Algodoo User - First of all, your account did not get banned "for no reason". That's the most ridiculous thing that I've heard in a long time! Do you really think that I go around Algobox and like a crazy person with a machine gun, I go banning people for no reason at all? :o Well, young man, I have a lot better things to do with my time.

If you were banned for using profanity, then YOU WERE BANNED FOR USING PROFANITY! I don't recall the exact situation, but I will check into it to refresh my memory as to what you said, etc. and then I will get back to you here.

Give me some time to check it out.....
Algodoo User - Okay, I found it. You made a comment to a scene that someone posted that you did not agree with. Your comment was, "We dont give a single f***". I put stars here in place of the letters because I cannot post the dirty word, but your comment showed the actual word. Now do you recall that comment you made? Do you still think you were banned "for no reason"?
pnvv - Every situation is different, but I usually try to give a person the benefit of the doubt. I often see two kinds of cussing here on Algobox. One is when someone is upset about a situation and they will say something out of anger or frustration. That's the kind of cussing that I will usually give a warning for, and nothing else is said or done. Then there is the kind of cussing where someone intentionally cusses or even makes a sexual scene because they want to disrupt the Algodoo community OR they are just plain evil and do not know how to communicate with others without cussing. That's the kind of offense that I will usually ban. And depending on how I feel about the person, the ban may be short and temporary, or it may be permanent.

I'm sort of like a Police Officer, where I have to gauge each offense and determine a course of action. The Algodoo Terms of Service is my guide and "law book".

I know my answer was rather long-winded, but as everyone knows, that's just how I am!

EDIT: BTW - I am dealing with Phun User in a fair and considerate manner, and so you need not worry that he may be getting treated unfairly. He is not. I sometimes try to make these experiences a learning experience, especially if I know that the person in question is very young. For example, one of the first things he said was "I was banned for no reason". Well, that's a common complaint that kids will say when they get into trouble. I want him to learn that trouble doesn't happen for no reason, and this might be a good learning experience for him.

Thanks

faytree - I agree with most of what you are trying to do here, but you are going about it the wrong way. By starting out your message with: "We are sick and tired of your childish piece of junk spamming Algobox. Please get some inspiration, for ___'s sake." you will immediately make them defensive, and they may not even bother to read the rest of your message. There's an old saying, "It's easier to catch a fly with honey than with vinegar". There's some truth to that concerning people! If you be nice and respectful (and I don't mean wimpy) then you will have a much greater chance of getting their attention, and their willingness to cooperate with you. I had to learn this lesson myself!

Thanks
Wow! Very nice scene!

The only thing that was confusing at first was, it wasn't clear that I had to load those "combustive balls" in order to make the engine run. After a while I finally figured it out. So, it might help if you add an instruction that says something like, "You must load yellow combustive balls, which are fuel for the engine, before you can drive the truck".

Except for that minor detail, you did a great job on the scene! :)
mm122 - Yes, I left a comment for your scene. Nice job!
