homieeee - I noticed that if I add a small circle or a polygon in front of the laser scanner, they show on the display as a dark shadow. Only a box will show as a solid object. Why is that?
Oh, Okay. I was just curious about it. No need to change anything just because I asked about it!

Thanks! :)

BTW - I searched for "ray casting" and now I learned something new today!

That red button looks familiar!
What weird glitch? If you mean the stretched axles, that's normal and happens often. You can read about it in the forum.
Interesting effect!
BlueYoshi9001 - I will not stop deleting scenes that do not meet certain standards or criteria. It's part of my job to make sure that scenes do not violate the Algodoo Terms of Service, and also to make sure that scenes, in my opinion, are not a waste of time for others to download and view them. People may not like what I do, but it's a necessary thing that I do which helps to keep Algobox from turning into a nightmare where everyone does whatever they want to.

If a scene is "pointless" (like the one you referred to) then I have no reason to let it stay on the Algobox scene display pages. If you are concerned about your scenes getting deleted, then don't upload pointless scenes!

This is all I have to say to you on this issue, so please do not continue to discuss it with me, if that's what you were planning on doing. I will give you some time to read this comment, and then I will delete both this comment and yours.

Thanks for your concerns.
Hi DaRsiz - You have an undefined global variable in your smoke generator: scene.my.sp2

The smoke generator works, but it would be a good idea to either define the variable, or replace it with a constant if a variable is not needed here. I could make a scene response if you would like to see a slightly different (and in my opinion, a better) version of the smoke generator. Let me know, but if you would rather I do not, then that's Okay with me. :)
Nice job!

"Born to be wild", by Steppenwolf. A great song by a great band!:)

Strangely interesting.
Thanks, Gent! Not a huge amount of script, but enough to keep me plenty busy for a while!
Thanks, s_noonan! I appreciate your critiques of my scenes.:)
lololoer - I don't know why you cannot download it, unless you are using an older version of Algodoo.

The scene is about this type of aircraft: BOEING YAL-1
RetroGuy - You have not been banned. If you were banned, then you would not be able to post a comment!

Concerning scripting, it's like learning a new language which takes many hours of study and practice. I doubt that anyone who uses Algobox will be willing to spend many hours teaching you how to write script. But you can learn about it by studying the Algodoo FORUM. That's how most people learned scripting. Then after you have learned the basics, you can learn more advanced scripting by studying other people's scenes.
Why don't you know what it is? After all, YOU made it!

Okay, I'll tell you what it is. It's two sections of rope that were stuck together with a spring. That's all!;)

The thing that moves (labeled "YOU") moves just a short distance when I start the game, and then it gets stuck and won't move any further. What's going on? :s
Woodsman, Okay I got it now! I wasn't quick enough on the arrow keys. Thanks :)
Türkiyem - Yes, no problem. :)
binko - I don't think you fixed it because it's even MORE difficult now to get past that first triangle. Maybe it's just me, but I tried over and over again, at least 30 times to get past that first triangle, and I just cannot do it! :o
Okay, it's better now. At least I can get past that first bend in the road! I think the reason why I'm having so much trouble is because of that very unusual "vehicle" that I am supposed to steer around the course. I don't know if I'm supposed to point the triangle in the direction that the thing is moving, or if I'm supposed to steer it so that the circle with the tracer avoids the killer obstacles, or whatever. Anyhow, if no one else is having problems with it, then please don't make any more changes just for me. I'm not very good with games to begin with (I think it's my age! lol), and so I usually have more trouble with games than the younger folk do.

Thanks
The chessboard is not oriented correctly. The square in the far-right corner (as each player faces the board) should be WHITE. When set correctly, the queen will be on her same color square (i.e., the white queen will start out on a white square, and the black queen will start out on a black square. Of course in this particular case, you did not use conventional colors for the chess pieces.

These are some facts that non-chess players don't know about! ;)

What is that supposed to mean? :s
Let's try this.....
When you are sitting at the table with the chess board in front of you, the square that is located in the LOWER RIGHT corner should be colored WHITE. On your board in this scene, the square is colored BLACK, which means that you have to remove all the pieces and then rotate the board 90 degrees (in either direction). After doing so, you should see a WHITE square in the lower right corner of the board. If you do, then the board is oriented correctly, and you can then place the pieces back on the board.
Does this make sense now?

So, after you are finished going poop in your real bathroom, do you yell, "Hey Mom, get me the dark red thing!"?

Why do you keep uploading basically the same scene? If you make minor changes, you should simply update the same scene so that you don't have a lot of copies of the same scene with only minor changes.

This is very helpful. Thanks!
Jade Hubinek --
You took some time and effort to make a scene that works, so why not take a little more time and give it a sensible title? The word "heyyyyy" means nothing (it's not even a valid word). A proper title should describe either what the scene does or what the scene is about. Then when people read the title, they will at least have some idea what the scene is. I will give you some time to edit the title (about one day), and if you haven't changed it to something reasonable as I mentioned above, then I will delete the scene. So, go ahead and think about a good title for it. Okay? Oh, and if you cannot edit the title because you cannot or don't know how, just leave a comment for me, and I will change the title for you.

Thanks,
Xray -- Algobox Admin

This doesn't seem to work correctly. Is the green box supposed to change color to white only AFTER the laser beam gets blocked? If not, then I don't understand what this is supposed to do. :bonk:

MORE INFO: I tried holding the red box after starting the scene to prevent it from falling. In that condition, the green box will sometimes turn white immediately with nothing blocking the laser, and sometimes it will take a few seconds before the green box turns white. There seems to be a timing issue that makes the scene erratic. Sometimes it works as expected, but most of the time it does not.

Holy cow.... THIS IS AWESOME! _o_
The geometry changes color when the laser beam HITS it, and then it changes back to original color when the laser beam stops hitting it. Are you sure that's how it should work? Check out my scene, which only changes the color when the laser beams stops hitting it, and not when the beam hits it:

onLaserStop event

Do you like my version of it?
WOW! Nicely done! _o_

It's running at 31 FPS on my PC.
