This drawing tablet works differently than others here on Algobox. Many other drawing tablets rely on spawning hundreds or thousands of circles to create a continuous line. Other tablets that use a tracer to draw lines, are limited to only one color (black).

This drawing tablet not only allows you to select a number of different drawing colors, but it also allows you to select drawing line thickness from very thin to insanely thick! You can also select a drawing color that allows you to erase small areas of your drawing. When you want to start over, simply press the E-key to erase the drawing. Instructions are shown in the scene.

Let me know how you like it with your comments and ratings.

Also, let me know if you want to suggest improvements or new featurs for a future version. Thanks!

UPDATE 10/18/2012: I fixed a couple of bugs, and I changed the instructions so that they are shown at all times at the bottom of the tablet. My next update will hopefully include some new features such as being able to select different types of drawing brushes and other tools. If you would like to see a new feature, please request it for consideration.

UPDATE 10/18/2012: Fixed bug that caused drawn lines to float when cursor moves outside of drawing area.

Also, I attempted to make an airbrush feature, but I realized that it would require a major rewrite of the code, so I will leave that to a future version.

One thing that I forgot to mention is DO NOT CLICK YOUR MOUSE BUTTONS! That will mess up your drawing if you do. Only use the Ctrl-key and move your mouse to draw lines, as instructed. Thanks!
Nicely done. Very responsive.

P.S. I noticed that the screenshot thumbnail in Algobox does not match your scene. Can you explain how to change the automatically saved thumbnail or direct me to a url that explains it?

P.P.S. Ok. So I see that the scene does not show tracer paths on loading, but the question still remains: Is there a way to modify a scene's saved thumbnail and still be able to load the scene into algobox?

@s_noonan - Nicely done. Very responsive.

Thanks, man! I appreciate that.

@s_noonan - P.S. I noticed that the screenshot thumbnail in Algobox does not match your scene. Can you explain how to change the automatically saved thumbnail or direct me to a url that explains it?

I noticed that too, and I cannot explain what's going on. The thumbnail shows a sample image that I drew just prior to saving the scene. But for some reason, that image did not get saved along with the rest of the scene. I am not aware if there is any way to edit the thumbnail. Maybe Kilinich, electronicboy, or one of the other Algodoo experts could shed some light on that question. Sorry I cannot help you. :(
Hey guys... I found another bug in this scene which requires a simple fix. When drawing a line, if the cursor happens to touch the wood-colored border, all the existing tracers in the drawing start to float away from their original positions. I'll see if I can edit and update the scene that's currently in Algobox.

EDIT -- DONE! That bug was squashed!

i think your scriptings isn't work very much or unsupported to my algodoo V2.0.1
faytree - That's YOUR problem, not mine. Upgrade to the latest version and everything will work just fine.
oh sorry for make you angry can you forgive me?
faytree - Yes, I can forgive you, but just one time, not 70 times 7 times.;)
Nice thing, working great.
As for custom thumbnails, I had put a tutorial on the forum about it some time ago, but it was removed. Fortunately, I have it saved so here it is: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/ … L/tut.html
