Basically i wanted to create something that allows the same kind of movement that a piston does but without collisions and unconnected(via hinge or fixate) parts. This was the result of my experiment.

Pros over regular piston:
no collision necessary
overall better performance cpu wise(depends on the piston you compare it to but holds true mostly)
cons:
very limited movement range compared to the size of the thing
hard to manage

just strap a hart's a-frame(phunlet, or scene in phun version)in it.
still, nice idea
This is actually worse on the cpu than a normal piston, it has to do the physics for 48 hinges, 2 cables, and a spring, it has 275 narrow collision tests, and then has to render the hinges, fixates, springs, and 31 boxes. With a normal crank system you'll only have only 3 hinges, 2 contacts, and it only has to render the hinges and 6 geometries. Your thing may look cool but it's not efficient at all.
@LuckOrLoss
you are right about the fact it is more CPU intensive, but it does not break as fast as a piston.

@RA2lover
those can break pretty easy compared to this one.
i give it 8/10 (you can improve it, but i like it)
interesting, however it is impractical for it to be used mostly because of the size
i love it though :tup:
Neat! I can see this in a bumper or something. I think it's clever.
An out of place piston is easy to fix. If this ever goes out of place it's a mess to fix.
actually its a lot easier to fix than a normal piston, and if this one does "break" it still works.
