Well, here it is. A week of learning how to build and script these awesome engines, finally I made my own!

I plan to put this into some kind of car that I'll start building shortly, possibly a honda accord or geo metro. I want to start simple since it will be my first car build with an actual working engine.

I'd like to give a big thanks to vaidas369 for his spawn engine tutorials, which is basically this exact engine. I just beefed up the spawns and changed a few minor things.

Also credit goes to pnvv for the awesome variable flywheel inertia scripting, by the way his car builds are AWESOME!

Thanks for all the help guys. Now that I built my first engine I plan on making some big things in the near future:tup:

Controls:
i - Ignition (toggle)
s - Starter (hold for 1 sec)
right - Throttle

Run scene at 120 Hz

Engine limits at 80 rad/s. Someone do me a huge favor and test this thing to see how much power it has:*)

Feel free to use this in your scenes if anyone wants to, but please do give me credit.

P.S. Thanks to InsertNameHere, I'm happy to report that this engine makes 590HP, and peak torque of 5900 ft/lbs @ 55 rad/s. Thanks alot InsertNameHere!_o_

Pretty good engine! And I powertested for ya

8000Nm at 55 Rad/s, 589HP...

I think 589 horse-power would be kinda too much for an accord or geo metro:lol:

Very good engine non-the-less!
Haha no kidding! A Geo Metro would be lucky to see 70 horsepower. But hey, it is 3cyl:lol:

I was pretty sure this engine was way too powerful for realism, the car I'm making right now is way too heavy too. I'm not really sure how to properly weight things and get the realistic specs at the same time.

The thing is, I don't even know how to test the specs in the first place!:bonk:

If you wouldn't mind InsertNameHere, I'd be very interested in learning how to make my engines more realistic, with their weight as well as their specs. So let me know, I'd appreciate it very much.

Thanks for testing it by the way:tup:
Haha yeah you're right!

And it'd be hard to teach how to make more realistic engines to you, because I litteraly just started making my things realistic just about 2 weeks ago:lol:

Plus I am a very horrible teacher/explainer as well so it'd be very hard to follow... if I could teach you how I would!
Haha it's ok, I do have a general idea:lol:

The main problem is that the engine is just way too heavy. It's nothing compared to my previous engines, which easily saw 500kg, but it is really heavy.

If you wouldn't mind, I would really like to know how to test for specs though:*)

I've learned almost all I need to know to build engines now, I just need to practice my skills. The only other thing is the specs. If you could help me with that, maybe upload a scene how to do it, I'd appreciate it VERY much_o_
