I took one cylinder of fruitmonger's radial engine and built up a 4 cylinder inline engine. Then I added a gearbox and put all in a simple car, that's it
Max speed: 43 m/s = 155 km/h
Description and instructions in scene !
The improvements I did:
1) Worked on the "valves" because lasers did not spawn circles all times (this meant an increase of angular velocity of 10%).
2) Increased pistons density (this increased engine's angular velocity of 13,5 %).
3) Other improvements as densities (plus 10% of angular velocity).
BUT gearbox took out all this improvements, because without it the engine reached 40 rad/s, with it 36 rad/s (= -10%).
I have to say that this one is less stable (I call stability the difference between maximum and minimum angular velocity of an engine: the lower is the number you get the more stable is your engine) than fruitmonger's engine, but a little bit faster (of the 20%)
The changes I did:
1) The engine isn't radial but inline
2) The 4 cylinders of fruitmonger's engine worked in pair (I mean that circles were spawned in two cylinders at the same time) while in my engine cylinders spawn circles at different times
3) Changed densities of some things like the piston
4) Changed colour of the spawned circles
5) To reduce lag I decreased the lasers's fade distance, set maximum rays =1 and set reflectiveness = 1, then I cut some useless parts from the script of the spawning box (like density := 2)
What I added:
1) A 5 way gearbox
2) A simple car
