Excellent, as usual! _o_
HUH? :s
The plane crashes every time because it needs more than just roll control (A and D keys). It also need pitch control (up and down).
TheInventor - Okay, thanks for the explanation. But just for the sake of accuracy, you should not use the word "drag" when referring to moving an object when the scene is paused. You can only "drag" when the scene is active. When the scene is paused, you use the "Move" tool to move things around.

Other than that minor detail, you did a nice job on the scene.
Clever scene, and nicely implemented!
ngphil - Just out of curiosity, I looked back on all the guns (handguns and rifles) that you have made, and I found that they are all facing to the right. I then searched guns and rifles on the entire Algobox website, and I found that over 95 percent of them (it might even be close to 100 percent) are facing to the right. Is there a technical reason for that convention, or is it just a habit that people picked up on?

That makes sense. Thanks!

Thanks, Faytree! :)
There is a script in the fly that keeps track of the fly's position, and another script in the eyes that moves the eyes toward that position. It took a little work and experimentation to get it to look somewhat natural.
Thanks, shaz66! :*)
Hi joedubstep312 -- You are new here on Algobox, and so I have a suggestion for you. Whenever you upload a scene that requires user input (keys or mouse), it's always best to explain what keys do what action. You can explain it either in the scene, or in the description of the scene.

This particular scene was fairly easy to figure out that the left and right arrow keys rotate the crank shaft, but some scenes are not this simple and straightforward, and therefore they definitely require some explanation.

Thanks, and welcome to Algobox!

Hi Scooter - One thing that I have done on my copy of this scene is to make the slide transparent (or about 20% transparent) and then I can see the extractor and other internal components as the mechanism is functioning. Something you might consider.

I own a Glock 17 and a Glock 26, and so I know quite well how the action works. One major issue with simulating guns with Algodoo is scale. I'm sure that you've found out by now that you cannot make a gun function reliably when the physical size of the components are made to factory specifications (e.g., make a 9mm bullet actually 9mm). And so we end up making handguns that are a meter long!

Nice work so far. I'm looking forward to seeing and firing the completed gun.
Good job!
What's the point of this scene? Normally, I would delete this type of a simple (worthless) scene unless you can explain to me that it actually has a purpose other than you were bored and felt like uploading something. What's the "trick" that you mentioned?

Thanks,

Yes, Marbles10, I'm smart enough to know that. I just was giving the user an opportunity to justify his scene. Thanks anyways.

Thanks, Marbles10! :)
That's easy! It's a single frame from an animation in a scene that was made a few years ago: Animation Clip
Why are you sorry because your location is Philippines? :s
I don't understand why you are sorry for being located in the Philippines! You should be proud for living in your homeland. I am in the U.S. and I am not sorry for being located here. In fact I am very proud to be an American citizen!

I am located in the state of Minnesota, which is in the northern central section of the country.
Very interesting! I did not know about "Barycenter" before running this scene, but now I do!
s_noonan - Thanks for the compliment and your suggestions. Your suggestions are always welcome and appreciated, but please keep in mind that they may not always get implemented. Be my guest if you would like to copy this scene and improve it in any way.

EDIT: Changes made! Good suggestions!

Thanks MLMS.... I tried that and it still crashes. I never crashed a real Cessna 172, so I know that I have good piloting skills!
Wow, you've spent so much time on making my scene so much better, you might as well take it over! It's all yours, my friend. :)
Faytree - What are you testing? As you know, I do not allow text or message scenes.
Thanks faytree. :)
Um.... There are problems with this scene. First of all, the speed of the vehicle is controlled with arrow keys, and not with the variable. Secondly, the variable "scene.variable1" has not been defined. And third, you need to name the variable "scene.my.variable1" if you want to save it along with the scene. You define a variable by initially entering it into the console or into the text box in the upper-left of any geometry. Here is the syntax to define a variable: scene.my.variable1 := 0

The colon is only for a check to make sure that the variable was not previously defined. If it was, then you would see an error message printed in the console.

Also, you should TEST your scenes before uploading them! If you had tested this one, then you would have noticed right away that it does not work as expected.

Hope this helps...
 You did not ask "WHO" is it! You asked "WHAT" is it, and I answered correctly. But now you changed the question, and that's not very nice of you.

Um.... When I start Algodoo, the game just says "GAME OVER". You did not explain how to play the game, or what keys or mouse controls to use. Do you think people can read your mind? I cannot!
Excellent scene, and good learning tool for young or new drivers!

The one thing I see that should be fixed is the airbag deploys much too late to protect the driver. The airbag deploys some time period AFTER he smacks into the steering wheel! :o You can see it happen when you slow down the scene to 0.1 speed.

Overall, good job!
