Hey bluebravo, it is great that you have entered the contest. But i can't grade it or put it on the leaderboard unless you have a forum account and have posted in the contest thread. I recomend doing this as you can also enter other contests and become part of the forum community! :tup:
Yes thanks, i'll get a rating ASAP
You do know that "Awsome" is spelt "Awesome" right?
Thank you both!! :tup:
Its already in the highlighted scenes, haha, 17dnlds. Best i have got is 4dnlds.
I'll rate it later tonight, (on a laptop)

Edit, very, very neat gun.

Thanks, i made the left one just to show how easy it can be, it took about 10 minutes to make. the one on the right is think is better and more realistic, smoother etc. :cool:
@Coolcars, yes i can make a decent crash car. Also, if you are freefun or whatever, you are very lucky you haven't been given an IP ban, I'm damn sure you are on your last warning. Can we stop the spam now please? :lol:
@bluebravo, thankyou

@PuGGy, use the lastest version, 1.9.9.9b.

@kilinich, thats is what i'm planning for future versions.
Also, i'm trying to make a "Fly by wire" control system for helis & aircraft.

@Ravenplucker,
There are three varible in this scene, Scene.my.m1 ... m2 and m3.
M1 & M2 control either thruster, lasers raise there values when it is close to ground to raise the ship. M3 controls the tilt stability, if it tilts to one side, it will reverse the direction of the balance circle's motor to correct it.
"if the first truster goes over 35 it goes back to 35?"
Exactly.
The first two lines of code slowly reset the thruster power to 30. The others keep the thrusters power to within 35 and 30.

The ? and {} are part of an "If" statement. They follow the form,
{Value1 = Value2} ? {If yes} : {If no}

The equals sign can be repleaced with <, >, ==, <=, >=.
Increase airfriction mult on purple box to about 250 or 500 and it becomes rock solid :tup:

Edit; forgot to say, good attept, you got so close to making it perfect!! :lol:

About adding credit, you've made it a responce to the scene so i kinda does give credit, usually the original owner of idea gets a mention but I don't really care about credit so long as the other person doesn't make it out to be their idea or steals something.
Yeah i need to fix those things. Phundamental stabilizer sounds interesting...
Haha thanks man. :tup:
Your on! :cool:
Its Good but not really anything new. It will stall at low rpm because the timing is all at once.
Hmm its a good approach you have taken there, I am using something similar on the next version.
Thanks, I would like to consider scripting as having dynamic varibles, eg ones that change, inertiamult is simiply a propertie of the object, but i know what you mean.
It would be nice to actually give credit to the original maker of the softbody. It is quite insulting to just duplicate the guys scene and only add three boxes. :tdown:
Wow neat game, i love the effects. :tup:
Edit; i think the handling is a bit weird and unrealistic. Could you add a k-wing to simulate a rudder/keel of the boat. The boat should want to go staight if left alone, but it will spin out of control normally.

Thanks, i'm going to have to improve it more before it has a effective use, since Lift increases with the square of the velocity, and take into account a stalled aerofoil once the angle of attack gets bigger than about 15degrees.
I saw the vid and i have driven a large powerboat (Rib, with thrust vectoing impellor) and it did not handle like that, yes the jetboat is very mauverable (Spins etc) but that is because it probably has thrust vectoring nozzles that have very large throws. I think i could be smoother and easier to control. Also, to give you your due, these boats aquaplane at high speeds, which means they only touch the water near the stern of the boat, and at low speeds they sink down and actually have more drag than at high speed. This would be hard to simulate.
Most 2d flight simulators use up/down arrows for elevator control, and a key other than left to go forward (Like shift or a letter key)
I love this to bits. It almost seems to understeer when going to fast and then will oversteer on acceleration. Its just great. _o_
Very good. I like the control system and those engines are so smooth.
Sweet! :tup:
This is really nice. The tyres seem really bouncy, but that is probably because there is no suspension.
If you lighten the wheels and scale it down, (To actuall size) it would be twice as good.

Suspension works best if the wheels are lightweight.
Will have to try and make some more planes after christmas with this, again good work. :tup: Oh yeah, 10/10
This is very cool. Great work! :tup:
