The reason it goes forward is because it is bouncing off of the back of the barrel. Also, the bullet in a real bullet is the front/top part. In yours the entire bullet functions as the casing.
very well recreated. I see if uses a double action system (like a microtech). I've got a Scarab which uses the same system. If you could find a way to speed up the blade deployment (other than increasing the sim-speed) that would be a cool.
Also, it would be cool if you didnt use a scripted spring to move the button, if instead you made it possible to move manually (and have the knife function). I'm all for computer controls, but I like to be able to do them with the drag tool too sometimes, more realistic that way.
Yuras is right, I've spent some time modifying some of his guns to fullauto (and then making them fire RELIABLY in FullAuto), or stuff like that. I also made a mod one time with the benelli auto-loading shotgun, where I had to of them rigged up (one upside down) and the recoil of the bottom would cock the top one and vice-versa, so they worked like an anti-aircraft gun, in FullAuto no less.
THOSE are modifications, not coloring, taking out parts, or changing a few simple values, add some parts, make it function differently, make it do something new. Hell adding a bolt lock is more of a modification than what you've done.
Not to be mean, but if the original author has told you to stop, then stop. Don't argue with him.
Nice. The only issue I have with it, is that if you rig it up with springs or any kind of armature to simulate a hand, the recoil causes the slide catch to engage EVERY shot.
@fragle, it's a lot harder to do in 3d/real life, but if you can manage it then go fill out an ATF form 1 (which allows you to build a firearm for personal possession). Keep in mind however, that if you want to make the barrle less than 18 inches you'll need to pay an extra $200 and wait for approval (Short Barrled Shotguns are an NFA item and subject to extra regualtion).
The burst system is quite unique, and while the weapon does love to double feed, it's also pretty durable to drops and other issues of that sort so I'd say you've done pretty well with this one. Good work man
This was actually the first gun I eve shot, at 12. My father owns one, (legally of a form 4 nfa item) and while quite fun, they are REALLY fast and heavy, not to mention expensive to feed.
AKs are not as loud as one might expect, they're also a lot more controllable in full auto than the movies seem to imply. I got a chance to run about 5 mags through one at a local machine gun shoot.
