The YT channel is called "Smarter Every Day". Enter that in the YT search bar and then look through their list of videos for "Weird Water Bending". I'm sure you will find it.
Unfortunately I know nothing about the Mac version of Algodoo. I use only a Windows computer. You can try to ask about your problem on the Algodoo forum, but hardly anyone uses that anymore. And the other sad issue is the fact that Algoryx is no longer making any changes or fixing any bugs in the various versions of Algodoo. I've been told that they may devote some time to it in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath. I wish I had a better answer for you. Sorry.
Hey Cool_S, let me know if this idea would work for you until you can find a more convenient fix for your issue. Each time you add an object to your scene, just do the following before you try attaching anything else to it.
1. Right click on the object, then hover your cursor over "Geometry actions".
2. If the object is glued to the background, the top line will say "Loosen". If the object is NOT glued to the background, the top line will say "Glue to background". If it says "Loosen" simply left click on that word "Loosen" and you're all done. If it says "Glue to background" then there's no need to do anything. It's a simple thing to do until someone fixes that issue.
Here's a little trick that will make any object impossible to tip over whether or not it's unbalanced. Go into the script menu and set "Inertial Multiplier" to infinity (+inf). That's it!
WAIT! I figured out how to remove an object from the background without all other items getting unglued from that object.
1. Select ALL objects that are glued together including the one that is attached to the background.
2. Click "Loosen" only one time.
That will unglue the one main object that was glued to the background while other objects will remain glued to that object. I tried it and it works perfectly!
Okay, thanks! I was wondering because I thought the cartridges were rather small for a rifle. In fact they are pistol cartridges.
It's not too unusual for some rifles, like the well-known "Tommy Gun", to fire pistol cartridges (the .45 ACP). That's why it is called a sub-machine gun. The Tommy Gun is also blowback operated like your rifle.
Hi wild bill. It's great to see that you still occasionally visit Algobox. You are a very talented scene maker, and because of that, I can only hope that you will publish more of your excellent scenes. (fingers crossed)
A: Yes, everyone has a thingy called "Subscribe". But I don't think it works with the Algodoo built-in browser. You need any standard Internet browser such as Chrome or Firefox. Just above the Rating bar in every scene you will see the word "Subscribe". Just click on it and it will turn into "Unsubscribe". When you are subscribed to a scene (like this one) you will receive alerts every time someone posts a comment or when the scene creator updates the scene. You can also subscribe to a user. For example if you click on my username, you will be able to subscribe to me, and every time I upload a new scene you will be notified.
Q: what happened to other admins
A: They are no longer active on Algobox. I guess they just grew tired of it.
Just wondering: You wrote that the wheels should have been lower, so why didn't you simply make the wheels lower? (Actually, you cannot make the wheels lower but you can certainly make the car higher. I did it, and it was an easy fix!)
@imsoepicxD -- I'm one of those granddads who loved watching The Flintstones back during the early 1960's when it was a very popular TV show. That was our entertainment before the Internet was even an idea.
Well, of course I won't be around for ever and neither will Algodoo. Over time something better will replace Algodoo and someone better will replace me!
commentmotivation12 -- I would like to chat with you about those things but this comment section is part of a scene that belongs to user ElliotAlgodoo, and we should not be cluttering up his comment section with idle chatter about off-topic subjects. We should only be commenting about his scene titled "It's Alive!!!". That's what these comments sections are here for. Thanks.
Konstantynovelysei -- Keep adding coins until the machine shows that you've addend the correct amount, then you will be able to select a brand of soda.
Konstantynovelysei -- It took me a while to figure out what this scene is demonstrating, and here is what I discovered: If you rotate the white line in the Theta symbol (using the Rotate Tool) the entire circle will rotate and the theta value will display the current angle in radians. That's it.
