key is right, the suspension needs work
usually what i do to solve sinking is tho put the part of the arm that is connected to the car BELOW the center of the wheel
also, the details are quite amazing on the machinery, but you might have been able to improve on the body itself to better show of the stainless steel.
note: lethalsheep (as in the combo of me an lethal squirl) has the 1970 gto that has around 1000 pieces (we had to cut back to that)
over all it does look very good indeed, but suspension and the body panels kinda dull it up a bit. and it definitly beats the low quality junk that i see too much these days
scaling looks right
perhaps you could ad more definition to the scoop on the side and the outlet over the wheel well
also you may want to work on your chrome
i have been fortunate enough to have been next to one of the few within the last week, it is a very awesome car in real life
Very nice over all, and definitely a good build for phun art
there are about 436 polygons in the model 210 of which are grill meshes and tire tread
leaving the body itself to only 226 polygons
roughly 50% of the car is actually the body
this leaves a slight inconsistency because your use of shapes was very wise over the body but then grills and which just had them piled on
also a great job on the scenery rather than the typical floating car
my only suggestion is to find ways to cut down on grills/meshes and transfer all the saved pieces to being used of the wheels and brakes which could benefit from more parts
66 is where it is at, my cousin drove one as her first car
the body looks good over all
but there are flaws across the car some minor and some major
major:
you have a mashup of 66 and 67 model years
the emblem and badging is for 67, as is the chrome on the bottom
the mirror is closer to a 66 but incorrect
the top vent is for a 66
the front bumper is 66
the exhaust is actually supposed to go thru the bumper as well
Minor:
the emblem has red white and blue (not silver white and blue) (if this is a 67)
the mirror is wrong for either year
the front is missing the blinker/ turn signal case
also missing back signal
your brake disc and brakes are really really small
there is not suposed to be a chrome strip over the wells
brakes lock all wheels = bad
the weight is too heavy on your model
sorry to point these all out, but make sure your car model year is accurate
overall it is a good looking car model
9.5 for the scene itself 6.5 for the research
that averages to an 8, but to not drag you down i will not put it
ps. it is good to be back here and have some of the other greats still around
pps. i am not trying to be a butt or anything about point out errors, roman did ask for anything wrong to be pointed out
first make the suspension part connecting to the spring have a bigger density
basically make the spring strength 2 and the damping 1.2
and finally adjust the length
this should allow the current setup to work correctly
glitchhater --
no, he has the weight a couple hundred kgs off from the correct weight. for the 66 model year the range was 1090-1270
-also you are going a bit into the 2d-3d technicalities dont you think?
dare --
dont hate the critisism, i just like things that people do to be correct in specs if they try to make it that way
working to build a better model
roman --
yes i understand not seeing them around, even here they are rare. I do suggest doing as much research as possible and getting more than one opinion.
BTW: i dont mess with engines usually as i prefer spawn engines that dont work well with speed
being an owner (er son of an owner) of a 1968 dodge charger, it kills me to see general lees
though this is a great scene, very extensive track
minor detail issues on the car, but certainly paid back by the police car
and the gearbox is always fun
Dare :: perhaps for the purpose of using it in a plane, the controls are a bit much. However this is a demonstration, you can easily work it without thinking about other controls
overall it looks alright, real weight is nice (but do adjest the wheels correctly 110kg wheels is unrealistic. other than the lights being dark (they arent actually dark like that) it has good coloring work
hahaha, actually the list of in the works is as follows:::
1. massive revival of the old gt car
2. revival of the gt racer
3. that porsche cayman S
4. a le mans prototype that i have designed
5. theeeeen the rest of the 50 car list xD
overall it is nice looking
my favorite part by far is the wheels & brakes, looks wonderful
least favorite is the spoiler, because like UG said, it is rather thin looking
my suggestions are : make the wheel friction even higher, for the sake of not having wheel spin on reverse, and then i know it is audi, but things always look better when they arent white
i was also happy with the lights detail, makes this look that much better : )
perhaps a little more intricate as far as body shading would be nice, otherwise this is absolutely great
rating 9/10-10/10 probably closer to 9 due to body
