Xray - I was aware of the capacitor issue, and I also noticed that it has a resistance slightly below 0 in fact, meaning its oscillation amplitude will very slowly increase over time, an issue I can only attribute to the code lagging by one frame.
As for the redstone, it's Minecraft's form of electricity, which works much differently from real electronics in that current can flow from point A to B and never has to return to A, or put simply, closed loops are not necessary for flowing current, not to mention the entirely different set of components that have only little inspiration from real electrical components.

I just added a transformer to my scene, you might like its really flexible design! Also, why not take a shot at a junction? I'd love to see if you have an idea better than my design.

because of algodoo's dated programming, this won't run smoothly on even the highest-end computers. usually, to be faster, CPUs will have more and more cores, while the speed of the cores doesnt change much. However, algodoo has been programmed only to run on a single core, meaning its speed entirely depends on the speed of a single core.
That's right. The fix to that is the breaking of simultaneity. if you're moving at a good fraction of the speed of light, your plane of simultaneity skews so that what you see before you is from the future and what you see behind you is from the past. i don't know the exact function that describes the change, but i know the static time offset at a point is linearly proportional to how far behind or before the point is relative to you.
Interesting fact: the thermal energy output density of most animals (Jm^3s^-1) is greater than the sun! The reason animals don't boil alive while the sun does is simply because of the vast amount of mass the sun has in comparison to how little surface it has to give that energy away.
interesting fact though, work = force * distance, and the force needed to move something through a fluid is proportional to velocity^2. this would mean that the power required to move the cell at 2*v would actually be 8x the power needed to move it at v.
your transformation doesnt seem accurate. the lorentz transform is defined by scaling along the y=x axis by a factor of n, followed by scaling along y=-x axis by a factor of 1/n.
18Nm is a form of torque, or more fundamentally a force, which is distinct from power in a subtle way:
force adds momentum into an object, while power imparts energy. if a force is applied to an object that doesnt result in movement, no energy exchange is made. if a force is applied over a distance, that's an actual exchange of energy. You can find the power output of an engine by multiplying its output angvel by the force it's outputting at that exact speed. Hope this helps fam!
This scene is the most-developed out a list of scenes ive been working on, and below should explain why i didnt continue to develop it:
I've been contemplating an eventuality for years, as a result of an inciting incident back in 2018 or 2019. I made a charged particle simulation, and after remarking that opposites attract, I made a statement of support for those who didn't think that had to be the case.
My scene was consequently deleted with no given explanation until I poked for one. In short, my scene was deleted because allowing express support for LGBT meant allowing express dissent against it as well.
If I understand the boundaries set for communicating through Algobox, there's already a rule against such dissent, especially if it escalates to animalistic arguing. It's my belief that if Algobox was allowed to talk about progressive topics, that there would be overwhelming constructive interaction, based on the sort of cute content I see running the New page at all times. And if hateful content appeared, well, we have mods that I've heard volunteer their own time to take care of such things, and so such would not be a problem for them.
I mention all this because I've come to accept myself as a member of the LGBT, and the thought that even a subtle, footnote-ish, relevant mention of a significant part of my identity at all could threaten my ability to continue communicating on the algobox at all is frankly a stupid anxiety to have. I've spoken to veteran users and new users alike who second this sentiment.
The best outcome I hope to see is that the rules become more relaxed, and casual, respectable conversation about social topics like LGBT can take place at will, and it'd be a bonus if by miracle I didn't get banned. I'm not looking to bend Algobox's purpose to actively encourage deep political discussion; I'm looking to allow debated topics to be mentioned in passing when relevant.
Worst case, this comment gets deleted immediately and I get banned, meaning not a soul got a chance to read this before it disappeared, and if you're the one in charge of reviewing this comment, I ask you to consult your conscience for a moment and put into words what should happen to this comment and precisely why you think so. And if you decide I should be silenced and removed from the community, so be it. I've no inclination to continue participating if such is the case.
I apologise in advance to those who enjoy my content if I get banned for this, though even if I don't, I may not engage on Algobox anymore anyway, depending on the consequences following this comment. I decided, instead of just vanishing inexplicably, to give closure to my friends here on Algobox; that the above information, among other things like Xray's biased judgement, lack of patience, and ignorance, have pushed me away.
If you know who you are, this is for you: Thanks for engaging with me, I only wish the best for you, and with that, consider this a farewell.
