That goes without saying. We encourage people to download other people's scenes in order to learn how to do certain things, but the rules specify that they must ask for permission if they want to reupload a scene or parts of a scene that they copied from another user (an exception would be if a user states that people may use their scene without permission as long as the scene was not copied from someone else). Some users give "credit", but that's not the same as asking permission.
By the way, "open source" refers to SOFTWARE. It has nothing to do with Algodoo scenes.
Looks like it would be a fun mechanical project. I'm not very talented when it comes to making complex mechanical assemblies with Algodoo, but it looks like the perfect project for a mechanically-talented person such as yourself.
I sent you a warning which said: "Do not post scenes that intentionally cause damage to the Algodoo program or to user's computers. That kind of activity will get you banned if you continue doing that."
The leaves look like they are just levitating or floating in air without being attached to anything! You forgot to add some ropes to the leaves in order to simulate stems and branches.
Suggestions:
1. Remove the "toggle" on the brake key. It only causes confusion for people who don't understand what that does.
2. Disable the Algodoo clouds. They don't make sense for this type of scene, and they are a distraction.
Except for those two things, the motor seems to start and run just fine. Good job!
Well actually the gear ratios might be correct, and all you need to do is to slow down the motor that drives the clock. If you wanted to add a "second" hand, then people would see the clock actually works because the second hand would be rotating at one revolution per minute.
It's totally up to you whether you make these changes or not. I am only giving you some suggestions.
First off, the guy's name was "Schrodinger" (you left out the letter h).
Secondly, the cat in the box may or may not die from poison gas, NOT a bomb. The problem with a bomb is, if it explodes before the observer looks in the box, then he/she would know that the cat was dead without opening the box.
The problem with YOU being inside the box instead of Schrodinger's cat is the fact that YOU are the observer AND the thing being observed. And so in that case you would know if you are alive, and if/when you die, you will not be able to know anything! That's why Schrodinger's thought experiment needed a cat and someone to open the box to collapse the wave function by observing the cat's condition.
"If I update a scene will it count as if I uploaded a scene?" NO
"Oh yeah and also, here is what some stuff of Algogicathlons mean" I really don't care what those things mean. I know when a rule has been violated, and that's all I need to know.
