I think they the pistons should be at different spots, so the combustion(whatever) happens at different time. That probably would make it run more smooth. Hope you get the idea.

Nice! I would use a circle flywheel instead a one side weight, because there is some stretch with the hinges when it rotates.

Would run alot more smoothy if there would be firing order.
