No laws were broken. And nothing is travelling even close to light speed. Your particle is pushing against those green boxes. That's why the purple box begins to accelerate before the particle gets there. It's similar to a train engine pushing on a long line of train cars. The last car will begin to move well before the engine arrives at that location where the car originally was located before it started moving. Nothing unusual here!
Of course nothing is travelling because Algodoo is just a computer simulation program. As a matter of fact, I did not type this comment that you are currently reading. My fingers pressed some keys on a keyboard, which are simple electrical switches, and that caused a complex series of electrical activity (aka, signals) which eventually ended up here on the Algobox web site. And all of the graphics and text that you see do not exist anywhere on the actual web site because they are just electrical patterns that are stored on some server computer. Then when your personal computer interrogates the web site, it converts the graphics and text electrical patters from the web site into images and text that you (the human) can see and understand. The whole world is one big lie!
@MasterGamer -- I was wondering how anybody knows who wins or who loses those games because the result will be different for each person who plays the scene! And if it is up to the person who made the particular scene to decide who wins or who loses, well they could easily cheat and make whoever they want to be the winner and the loser. Am I right about that?
You can't fill that with water because is it much too large! Computers will lag very badly if you try to put more water into that thing. You need to delete that contraption and all the water, then zoom in to a much smaller scale, such a 1 meter, and make it again. Currently, your scene is at the 100 meter scale which is much too large to fill with water!
Make the scene on a smaller scale and then you should have no problem filling it with water.
LimeAlgodoo -- You said: "Wow I Never Expected To Have This Experemient But This Is Kinda Weird And Hard But Still Not Any Bad " After reading that, I had to take a couple of aspirin because my brain hurt while trying to make sense of what you said. I don't know if you normally speak some other language besides English, but your comment sounds like you used Google Translate or some other translation program. In other words, your comment makes no sense to me at all. And so, I cannot reply to you in any sensible manner. If you would like to try leaving another comment, hopefully it will be understandable and sensible.
The Linkage -- It would be helpful to anyone wanting to use the polymaker if you would show an example of how it should be used. For example, how to attach it, and where to attach it on various shapes. Also, maybe explain situations in which it will NOT work properly. Any other details would be helpful and appreciated.
EpicAlgodoo - Of course I know there is a 1 key! I'm not stupid. I'm just saying that when I press the 1 key, NOTHING HAPPENS. Please explain to me what is supposed to happen when the 1 key is pressed. Maybe this game isn't working on my computer for some reason. And NO, I do not understand your game because you did not explain how it's supposed to function. Without instructions, how can anyone play your game?
MasterGamer -- Well then, if that's the case, he is wasting everybody's time. He really should FINISH the game before releasing it, instead of dishing out little pieces at a time that no one can possibly play or even understand.
I think you are right about him not going to finish it. If he really had an awesome game in the works, he would hold off posting it until it is finished and people can then properly play it.
By posting this type of message scene, you are breaking the rules AGAIN. I have a suggestion for you, Luigi8832....... READ THE RULES! Then there will be less of a chance that you will break them. If there is a rule that you do not understand, then ASK wild bill or someone else to explain it to you.
In your scene here, you stated that you will "listen to the rules". Well, there's a problem with that. The rules do not talk to people! They do not make any sounds! You need to READ them and understand them. You cannot "listen" to them.
Okay, now.... It's time to start obeying the rules.
No, not right, EpicAlgodoo. No one is being mean to you. We are just stating what's wrong with your game. It is unfinished and confusing. I don't think that anyone can argue with that.
All of us who have been here on Algobox for many years know a good game from one that was poorly designed and poorly assembled. But we also understand that no one here on Algobox is a professional game maker. So, of course, most user-made games will be far from perfect. That's why we try to not be too critical. We do not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
So, I suggest that you do the best you can to make your game interesting and fun to play. But my most important suggestion is that you do not upload partial or incomplete games. No one wants to play a game which has been poorly designed, has little or no instructions, and is far from being finished. Do a good job on your game, complete with detailed instructions, and THEN upload it. People will enjoy playing it when you do those things! Check out some of my games, all of which that I spent many long hours, and sometimes many weeks on. Click on my user name to see all of the scenes that I've uploaded. You will also see some message scenes that I've posted when I was the active Admin here on Algobox before wild bill came on board. Yes, I am still an Admin, and yes, I still occasionally sit in for wild bill when he is on vacation or too busy with his job.
Calm down, EpicAlgodoo. I know how long it takes to make a good game with Algodoo. You probably spent (I'm guessing) maybe a couple of hours so far on your game. But that's really not much at all. Many of the games that I made (which are mostly copies of the old-school arcade games like Pac-Man, Donkey-Kong, and others) took me many weeks, and in some cases, a few months to design, test, debug, and update them. Those games are very complex, and require some difficult and tricky programming. I realize that that kind of programming is far beyond what most people here on Algobox are capable of doing, but my point is that I want you to know that I understand fully how much work it is to properly make some games. I also want you to understand that I NEVER upload an incomplete or unfinished game. I made sure that it worked correctly, and I also made sure that it had a complete set of instructions so that people understood how to play it. My philosophy is, if I'm going to take the time to create a game, I should put my heart and sole into it, so that when it's time to show it off to the world, it is complete, and is something that I will be very proud of. I could not be proud of posting a partial game with no instructions which no one has any idea how to play it.
@MasterGamer -- Yes, I figured out some of those things too, but rather than having to flounder around trying to figure out what works and what doesn't work, it would be much more preferable to have instructions. That issue is my biggest pet peeve about most scenes that are uploaded here on Algobox. I'm not talking about those static "camp" scenes, or "Algodocathlon (whatever)" scenes, of course. I'm talking about scenes that require that they be RUN, and are more complex than a simple marble race. Take a look at most of my own scenes, and you will find that they have a complete and accurate set of instructions. I know how important that is.
@The Linkage -- You gave me a lot to think about, and I do not have any "quick" solutions for any of them. I am currently working on a home project which is taking all of my free time, and so I will have to research your questions when I can break loose. My home project takes priority over everything else (except for maybe eating and breathing. LOL).
So, I will try to come up with some ideas within a few days. Sorry for the delay, but it couldn't be avoided.
Another thought: s_noonan is one of the best Thyme scripters here on Algobox. In fact, he is much better than I am. So, if you are reading this, s_noonan, maybe you have some ideas for The Linkage. If not, then I will work on it as soon as I have the time. Thanks!
@lololoer - Hey, it's been a long time since we chatted on Algobox! Are you planning on sticking around and making some more awesome scenes like you used to do? I sure hope so! One of my favorite scenes is THIS one.
