I talked to you about this over Xfire, this is really great. Obviously heli with real collective and cyclic will be naturally unstable, so this is a great start. All you need to do is reduce the instability. Make sure CG is in the centre of the main rotor head.

Also, no need for 4 thrusters. I deleted 2 and the heli works just fine, if not better.

Really great linkages for realism, it actually works like a real helicopter should.

I hope you don't mind if I still this idea for my future heli sims, I tell you over Xfire it's just a great idea. _o_

Thanks - I'm glad you like it, but trust me it is far from a good soft wheel. It's just a nice concept, I'm hoping it can be improved. :yum:
Well after being the first to download I decided to to a bit of optimising:
- changed cyclic hinge RPM to 1.00
- changed collective hinge RPM to 3.00

After these changes I can control it much easier.

Without optimisation, this heli is pretty good. But always pitches up when I add positive collective. Unexplained problem, I hope you can fix it. Good job. 8. :tup:

EDIT: Inbalance was caused by a problem with the airFrictionMult. Problem is fixed now. Good job Nxdt.

Mmm, some points for improvement:

Make camera follow truck, it is annoying having to do it myself every time.

This was the perfect change to use single linear gradient for a good effect, but you did not take it. Instead you used lots of little polygons. I just don't see why.

Why is there a circle on top of the truck :s

The rag doll goes behind the scenery when your driving.

And I've never seen an old truck be able to hold 3 tonnes, are you sure?

Just fix these and you will have a top scene. Good work.

Spawn fuel at the top of each cylinder head instead of complex piping systems.

P.S. circles make better fuel. Learn to spawn them. 8|

Thanks everyone for rating so well, but I'm about to update the engine (get rid of complex valve timings) to make engine fastest its ever been. Stay tuned, fastest and most real rotary engine on Algobox.
Update is up. I can't believe how fast this engine goes now. Must be fastest rotary on Algobox, maybe even fastest out of all aircraft engine on Algobox(radial/rotary).
Not really that fast? Have you seen a faster rotary on Algobox without exceeding 100Hz? But thanks for 10! :)
I simply change my skin to "Classic". It change everything, including tracers, back to Phun 5.28 style.
Of course I'm happy, you've done something that someone who has more experience has recommended you to do, and you've done it very well.

Just make sure you tune speed and power perfectly, also friction and density of the tyres. See Roman's trucks, they are good.

Sure. Increase negative damping. if that doesn't work, reverse engineer some other spring engines on Algobox.

Only one minus - body doesn't collide with ground. Looks strange and sometimes wheels pop through the top of the car. I give you a 9 anyway.

That is the ugliest car I have ever seen.
Some spots of awkward use of shade texture. if you are going to curve it around a corner, make a radial gradient in GIMP or similar.
