It looks good now!
There is no way to disable the effect of gravity (what you call "gravi") on each geometry. The collision layers do not affect gravitational attraction at all. Just as in real life, any object that has mass is affected by gravity.

There is something that I tried and seems to work to disregard the pull of gravity on the white ring, and that is to provide a slight opposite thrust against gravity. I was able to essentially make the white ring stand still with gravity enabled by giving the velocity Y axis a small value as follows:

vel = {[0.0, 0.21]} You must use curly brackets on each end of the velocity array in order for Algodoo to continuously give the velocity command. If you do not add the curly brackets, then the object will not continuously oppose gravity. Try this and see if it does what you need it to do. Of course, when you enable gravity, then ALL other objects will be attracted to the ground.
Oh, now I understand the confusion. Gravity and Attraction (in Algodoo) are two completely different forces and they react differently from each other. Gravity is not at all dependent on which layers are enabled or disabled. It just doesn't matter! Attraction is like magnetism, and you can think of it that way. And attraction IS affected by which layer is enabled or disabled.

Now that we have that figured out, I will have to think more about what you are asking in order to find out if it can be done. I think it can, but I would need to play with it a bit to be certain.
Nice idea, but you can get the same results without using the axle and the extra circle. In fact, it will be "snappier"! What I did was to delete the axle and the extra circle under the first frame, and used only the circle that contains the Thyme code. Then enable "Follow" for that circle. That's it! Try it and see if you like it. :)
Thanks Wyatt! :*)
Well then, here's another idea: Give people the option whether they prefer a smooth glide between scenes or a quick jump! Make it configurable. Depending on the type of scene, I could see where either one might be prefered.

Not smoke, it's steam. The nuclear reactor heats the water which creates the steam.
Nicely done!

Suggestion: Provide a key that will erase the entire pattern and start a new one.

Also, allow user to adjust the size of the pen.

Kilinich - The new features work well. Good job. :)

s_noonan - Good points. I just happen to prefer elegance in design. In my opinion, a dedicated button to clear the screen is more elegant than using the Undo button. And when you design a dedicated button, you (the scene creator) have control over how it functions.
GrayMarble234 -- Since you won't be needing this user name any longer, I'll go ahead and ban it so that no one else could ever use it. It will be banned by this time tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that you are leaving, but at least you can now be certain that no one will ever be able to use this user name again.

Bye....

Xray, Algodoo Admin
Yup..... Just kidding, GrayMarble234. APRIL FOOL! You will not get banned (unless you some day do something to deserve it!!!)
Thanks, Dirty Harry!
Nice April Fools joke. You had me believing that we are still in 2014!
Very well done! I like it very much.
Nothing new. This is a well-known bug in Algodoo.
Ubsje - Have you ever seen water drops balance perfectly on top of each other in real life? It's physically impossible. And yes it is a bug because it should not happen.
Thanks, DrBalk! A score of 150 is quite good. Maybe you should become a Basketball player!
If it's not yet finished, then why post it? You waste space here on Algobox, and you waste people's time when they open a scene which is not finished.
Fun fact: I never played basketball in my entire life except for a couple of rounds of HORSE during high school. I sucked at it. Never did like the game.
Sorry, but that's nothing new. People have been making rainbows with lasers for many years, and there are a ton of rainbow scenes in the Algodoo archives.

Everything you said makes no sense at all. :s  :bonk:
What you ask makes no sense at all. :bonk: :s  )|(
awesome!
Thanks, s_noonan.

@abc123 - 910? Either you cheated or you lied about your score.
@Mastasmastas111 - Rather than ask, "What if I do this, or what if I do that???" Just TRY IT YOURSELF and see if it works!
If you're going to put David Hasslehoff in your scenes, you could at least put a few Baywatch beauties in them too! ;)

OOPS, I forgot that Algobox is a website for people of all ages, so maybe you'd better not put too many Baywatch beauties in your scenes!

Hey, very nice job on the visuals and the animations! You surely are a master at creating complex visual effects!

Nice addition in the updated edition! (wink)
Thanks, Tomski! I appreciate your feedback!
