That is correct. Techincally you're right, it's 2 straight engines stuck together. But the Fulvia had a longitudinally mounted engine, so it was as close as I could get to a v4.
I found it had a tendency to explode if it were raised above about 400. I think 250-ish is a better number however, it will run very stable at that point; I'll update it tomorrow, my mom's yelling at me to go to bed. it's about 11:00 in the states right now...
The car itself has almost no textures; the engine has lots of them. I will look at Kilinich's pack, I was having issues as well.
And with the suspension, it probably won't get fixed because this was never intended to be a serious project anyway. I just wanted to be silly
The engine weighs almost half a ton and has a more truck-like power curve, so I think it would be much happier in a big heavy vehicle instead of a small little race car
Yeah... this is kind of a bad design, I will admit. The stroke is far too short, those kinds of things are better for engines that get most power through rpm.
I haven't had any issues with using timetolive as a timing method. I think it actually works quite nicely.
There's no dark-to-light-to-dark texture, just the other way round. If you don't know what i'm talking about look at my data-munching texture I use currently, there isn't one that matches it in the pack
I had to mess with the sph settings, cause I wanted the water to have roughly the consistency of mud. I'll fix it ASAP, I guess no more messing with sph from now on. I think the viscosity is what causes it. Just type sph.viscosity = 0 and might fix it. Can't test it now, I'm on my friend's windows 95 piece of crap
And I found the fixed AWD to work fine, mostly. But it usually gets very annoying on the stair section..
This is a hella good piece of technology. But if there's one thing I've noticed, most eccentric (pun intended ) engine designs, even in algodoo, never really get much use. I guess most people think a piston is simple enough.
But I really like this arrangement. I might try to build my own version.
