The linkage - I think you did a GREAT job on this example scene for alasmyfoe, but unfortunately, he is having a difficult time of explaining exactly what he wants. You can spend many more hours showing him what you "think" he wants or what you think he needs, and if everything you show him either confuses him or is not what he envisioned in his brain, then you will spend a lot of wasted time trying to make what you think he wants!

The best way to handle a situation like this is the way it's done in the real world. Alasmyfoe describes exactly what he wants in detail, and then after you both agree on it, you then can begin to design and build it. If you do not first define the object in a written document, then you will spend many wasted hours making something that he does not want! So, my suggestion is, let him describe in detail exactly what he wants, and before you start to build it, you both must agree that what has been described in writing can actually be built by you.

If you do it this way, then you will save a lot of time in the process and he will be happy with what you made. :)
OOPS! My bad! I clicked on a box to rotate the cube, and then I clicked on other boxes which added other axes rotation. Then thinking that I have the cube rotating on only one axis, I clicked only one box, and of course the cube continued to rotate on the axes that I auto-rotated. I did not notice before that the boxes turn blue when in auto-rotation mode. Now I see that I can click on all the blue boxes which will take all of them out of auto-rotation mode.

Sorry for my verbose reply, but that's just how I am!

Again, very nice work!
Did YOU read the rules? Really, did you?
@LLubbers123 - Because you are a new user, I will explain some rules to you. In addition to the Algodoo Terms of Service (which you agreed to when you registered) there are a few unwritten rules that we've had to add but are not yet written in the TOS, and they are:

1. Do not upload a large number of scenes over a short time period. When you do that, your scenes will push everyone else's scenes down to the bottom of the display page, and people get very upset about that. Limit the number of scenes you post to 3 or 4 per day.

2. Do not keep uploading the same scene over and over again with minor changes, such as color. People get annoyed by that, and those kinds of scenes provide no value to anyone. Many people refer to that as "spamming" the website.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. If you want to ask any personal question that you don't want anyone to see except for me, then send me a Private Message in the Algodoo forum.

Thanks,

Xray, Algodoo Admin

My attempt on pinball.
I know it sucks, but I'm bored and I feel like wasting everyone's time. But at least it has no ball, and no bumpers, and no flippers. You can add them if you want to.

Wow, that's exciting!
W
No, not sarcastic. Just having a little fun! :)
Actually, this is an interesting idea for a pinball machine. If you made it larger, added some bumpers, and a scoring system, I think it would be very popular!
What's offensive about this scene? He must have edited it because I don't see anything offensive (unless you are offended by explosions!).
No, not you. I was inspired by the user named "MechaSaur". He posted some pictures of animals.
Simple.... Every time the ball collides with an object you increase the score by how many points you want to. For example, when the ball hits a bumper that's worth 100 points, you just add 100 to the current score like this:

scene.my.score = scene.my.score + 100

Very simple!
When input bit #2 is on (high) by itself, rather than the resulting output being 2, it displays as 8. :o

Also, the output seven segment digits appear much better if you make the background black (the same color as the segments when they are off).

Other than those minor things, you did a good job on it.
My art is worth just as much as this scene is worth. ZERO dollars.
Just a few things for you:

1. Your last comment was deleted because you used profanity in it. Abbreviations are just as profane as the spelled out words.

2. Please don't post a new comment every time you think of another sentence. Post all of your thoughts in ONE comment box like I am doing here. Other people can do it, and so you can too!

3. You may want to start your pinball scene over. Rather than try to fix this goofy one, start fresh, plan it, make it, test it, then post it. If you need help with certain areas of it, just ask your question in the comments and either I or someone else might (note the word "might") help you.

Thanks
Tell you how to script?!!! That's like asking me to teach you to speak Spanish (or some other language)!. Just like learning any new subject, it requires many hours of training to learn the basics. Then it requires many more hours to learn advanced methods.

The best way for you to learn how to script is just like the way most of us learned it. That is, start out by reading through the Algodoo Forum (under the heading of "Thyme Scripting"). Learn to do simple things at first like onCollide scripts (make something happen when two objects bump into each other). Then start to learn more advanced techniques. Learn how others have done it by downloading their scenes (like mine, for example) and experiment by writing some script, and seeing what happens when you make changes to it. Most people will be happy to answer questions for you, but no one will want to spend many hours of their time teaching you everything about it. The more time that YOU put into learning it, the more you will learn about it, and the more things you will be able to do with it. After a while, you will find yourself making some amazing scenes that you would otherwise not be able to do without knowing how to script!

I use Thyme script in EVERY scene that I make, and I enjoy it very much. Click on my user name, and you will see how many scenes that I have made over the past few years. You will see that I especially like to make copies of the older arcade games like PacMan, Frogger, Donky Kong, and others. Those games require a LOT of time and a lot of work to do a good job of it, but it's worth the effort. It will be a long time before you are at that level where you will be able to make those kinds of complex games, but the more effort you put into leaning it, the better your scenes will be, and the more that other people will enjoy playing them!
You used a profanity abbreviation. I can't repeat it here without me breaking the rules, and so I will use an example. If I wrote WTH, meaning "What the heck", the WTH means the same thing, and so we do not allow those kinds of abbreviations. Do you get it now?

Concerning editing comments, you must use the Algodoo built-in browser. If you do, then you cannot edit comments. Most people use a standard browser such as Internet Explorer or Chrome or Firefox, etc.

Concerning your pinball scene, you can use whatever you want to. I only make suggestions. I do not force you to do anything as long as you do not break the rules! :)
TheDanTdm -- I know that you are brand new here on Algobox. In fact, you have not posted any scenes of your own. I want to explain to you about how to properly submit a report. Your report states only one word: "Copying!". That does not help me at all because you did not provide enough information for me to investigate your claim. In the future, please provide as much information as you can, such as a link to the scene that you claim has been copied. If only a part of a scene was copied, then you must describe in detail what was copied.

BUT, before you get all excited and start reporting scenes, you need to make sure that the original author doesn't want his/her work copied! Some people don't care if their scenes are copied. So, unless you are the original author who is reporting YOUR scene being copied and uploaded, I suggest that you first contact the original author and explain to him/her what you found. Then let him/her decide whether they want to report their scene stolen. If they do, then they need to give me details about their scene. I don't accept anyone's word that a crime has been committed! I need proof. If they cannot give me detailed proof, then there is nothing that I can do about it.

Make sense?
Except when being used as bait.
@Phun User -- Before reporting that a scene or part of a scene was copied without permission, try to work it out with the person who copied your work. In many situations, a person (especially a new user)may not realize that it's not acceptable to upload another person's work without permission, and when you bring it to their attentions, they will often remove the scene or the object that they copied. But after nicely asking them to remove it, and they do not after a reasonable time period (give them at least a couple of days) then report the scene.

When you report a scene please give me more information than just "He stole my scene" or "He copied my whatever without asking". I need proof so that I don't spend hours trying to figure out if the claim is valid or not. So, give me a link to your scene that you claim he stole from you. If it was just part of a scene (such as a car, a gun, a whatever) then describe in detail exactly what it was that was copied. If I determine that your scene was in fact copied and uploaded without permission, I will delete the scene and give the user a warning.

One more thing that many users are misinformed about is the fact that just stating "Credit to Phun User" is NOT the same as getting permission. The user must first get permission to use another person's scene or part of a scene, and then, if the author of the copied scene wants credit, the person who copied their scene should state in the description portion of the scene "Credit goes to Phun User for the awesome car" (or whatever).

That's how it's supposed to work! :)
How could you know what he wants when HE doesn't know what he wants?! He already gave up on it by making a comment in his own sample scene when he said: "Thanks to everyone who has tried, but i guess this won't work, for now..."

You can only help a person if they are capable of describing in detail what it is they want or need. If you try to make something that you THINK they want or need, then in most cases you will waste your time. Been there, don't that many times! :o
This is a very sensitive subject because a lot of people lost their lives during that event. I'm Okay with you posting this type of scene on Algobox as long as it doesn't start arguments or flame wars. Just letting you know that if creating such a scene stirs up trouble, then I will have to delete it.

Are you sure you want to do this?
@TuLaim -- You've only been on Algobox for a couple of months, so since you are a newbie, how could you possibly know what Algobox was like 3 or 4 years ago? :s Yes, there was a time when there were no Algocrapithons and moronic camp scenes.
Making a link is easy. Just go to your scene, and highlight the address in the address bar (include "http;//") then copy the address (you can copy with Ctrl-C). Then go to the Report tab, tell me what you are reporting, then Past the address with Ctrl-V (Hold down the Ctrl key and then tap the V key). That should put the link in the report where I will see it.

By the way, I searched on "Mercedes Transporter" as you suggested, and 175 scenes popped up! Too many for me to waste my time looking through. Learn how to send a link to another person and you will have new found magical powers!

@Boyguydude -- You are probably correct when you said that no one reads the rules when they register. But that's not an excuse for not knowing the rules. You can't rob a bank and expect to get away with it by telling the court that you did not read the laws. That's just crazy.
