Though really, algodoo isn't for camps. Only like camps cause it gives me BFDI assets.

Yeah algodoo isn't MADE for camps and that dumb stuff, this game is MADE for creating complex and simple scenes that show physics in them and being able to share them to the rest of the community. Marble races and algodecathlon do count BUT they are posted at a rate of 3-8 scenes per minute (Yes I counted) which is ruining the old fun algodoo used to give.

@InsertNameHere - I couldn't have said it better. (EDIT - But I will correct you on something you said. Algodoo is not a GAME. It's a physics simulation program that can be used to make games if so desired.)

I sure do miss the old days when Algobox was mostly about physics, math, and general science. Now it's mostly a scribble board for young boys who have nothing better to do. Sorry if I offended anyone, but the truth is the truth. The children outnumber the adults and older teens by a huge margin, which all by itself causes conflicts. Again, I'm not trying to insult anyone or cause bad feelings, I'm just stating fact.

@Xray - Very good point. I said something a while ago about a second level of Algobox which only people that don't build marble races can post in, but the scenes they post can be downloaded by anyone. Or maybe, the marble racers will also be unable to download any quality scenes either and so will be encouraged to give up marble racing, so they can join. If any marble races are posted in the quality group, it will be deleted and the user will be kicked from the quality group.

@Xray: Truth

@pnvv - Unfortunately, the employees of Algoryx (the company that owns this website and the program Algodoo) does not seem interested in making any improvements or even much needed fixes to Algobox. Therefore, we will just have to keep using the website as-is, now and into the foreseeable future. Some day, they "might" decide to invest some time, money, and resources into fixing it, but I'm afraid that that's a long time from now.

This is my take on the situation:

Although I'm not a big Algo-whatever-thon fan (or marble, gun, or bomb fan for that matter), I agree with Ultragamer564 on this one. This scene is offensive to a certain group of people and it's inappropriate for one of the leaders of Algodoo to create it.

Regarding "algodoo isn't MADE for camps and that dumb stuff", users can make whatever they want with Algodoo.

I can sense Xray's frustration in this scene. I can understand why somebody who takes a fair amount of time and effort in making good scenes would be annoyed by someone who cranks out 700 low grade scenes in 4 months.

@s_noonan - Thanks for expressing your views on this subject. I agree that this scene may be offensive to some, but take a look back at the thousands of scenes in the Algobox archive, and you will find hundreds if not thousands of scenes that are MUCH more offensive than this one, and to a much wider cross section of people (such as the extremely gruesome scene in which an automated machine removes a bloody eyeball from a person). I intended for this scene to be slightly offensive in order for it to make an impact on people. Many of us adults are VERY frustrated that we have to share our math and physics sandbox with a bunch of little boys who play with colored stickmen and marbles, and they overload our sandbox with worthless "junk". I disagree with people who think that the young boys will get inspired by us adults by making technical scenes. All the kids want to do is to play games. They seem to have no interest in making scenes that demonstrate scientific principles. In fact, most of their scenes are totally static, which is not what Algodoo is about.

I want to correct you about calling me an Algodoo "leader". I consider myself more of a babysitter and police officer. That is, my job is to warn and/or discipline users who violate the Algodoo Terms of Service (profanity, threats, selling stuff, etc). Other than that, I do not "lead" anything or anyone.

I agree that this scene is fairly low on the offensiveness scale. I think that it is a useful scene from the standpoint of promoting a discussion about AlgoWhateverathons. I suspect that you are a leader whether you want to be or not based on the following facts:
1. You are at, or near, the top of the list for the number of good quality scenes.
2. You have made more comments than anybody else in Algobox.
3. You have the second highest number of subscribers.

Thanks for the kind words and the listing of my "stats", but the only person who has exceeded most of those numbers is YOU! And that's because you have been around since the early Phun days (circa 2009). I've been doing Algodoo since 2012, so I'm still a newbie.
