mia555 - Says who? I see no contest rules that say the scene cannot be made with textures.
Good idea for an educational scene. Simple but effective script!

Suggestions:
1. Give that brown rock on the right side of the mountain some texture so that it looks natural (I tried giving it the same texture as the mountain next to it, and with a little tweaking, it looked much better). OR, simply use the knife tool and cut the right side of the textured mountain so that it has the required slopes to create a good landslide.
2. Make the house look more realistic. Maybe give it some texture too.
3. If there's a lesson to be learned with this scene, then it needs some text to explain what's going on.

No, Ultragamer564, my comment isn't rude at all. I'm just teaching him something positive that will last for the rest of his life. He needs to understand that in most situations, quality is more important than quantity. Maybe you can learn from this too.
I was wondering if you would catch that, Phun User! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
Wow! Awesome looking car! And it must have taken pnvv a month just to make those spoked wheels. When I realized that each spoke was a separate geometry, I was like, "OMG, someone has a lot of time on their hands!"
Cool! Unfortunately, as I said in some other comment, I suck at making engines, so, if someone wants to fit a V12 in that awesome car, I would be the first person to volunteer to test drive it! :*)
Awesome! It looks much more realistic than your original version._o_
Thanks from me too, Ribi!
Nicely done scene. I wish I had one in my back yard too!
Awesome jetpack! _o_
Each time I start the scene, the ball always lands on Barack Obama! :o
Why not fix it so that it works correctly? :)
How would a person KNOW whether or not this scene burns their eyes if they do not watch it in the first place? :bonk:
This all sounds impressive, but when I start Algodoo, nothing happens, and you give no instructions that explain how to launch the system. Are there certain keys or mouse control buttons that need to be actuated in order to do certain functions? A little explaining would be helpful! ;)
Holy cow! I must be chatting with a computer!
There is a very important fact that you kids apparently were never taught by your school teachers, or more importantly, by your parents. And that is, you will much more likely get what you want if you communicate with adults respectfully and courteously, instead of making demands and threats. The harder you push, the more we will push back, and believe me, you will NOT win.

Now, I want you guys to also understand that, although it may seem like I am totally against you, I am not. I want Algobox to be successful for everyone, but it cannot be successful while there's a war going on! So, let's all calm down (including us adults) and let's all of us try to work together so that we all can enjoy a healthy environment here on Algobox.

I am currently working with Emanuel from Algoryx (the company that owns Algodoo and this website), to come up with some good, constructive ways to make Algobox work for everyone. I don't know at this point if the solution is to split it up or not, but we will do whatever it takes to resolve this ongoing turmoil. So, please be patient, and eventually (hopefully) we will fix most of the current problems that are threatening to destroy this awesome website.

Thanks!

Good job, lololoer!

Just a couple of minor suggestions:
1. Disable the clouds! (I say this to everyone! ;) ) If clouds are not needed in the scene, or if it just doesn't make sense to have them floating by causing distractions, then turn them off!
2. No need to tell everyone that your scene is "buggy". When you do that, you draw attention to the problem rather than to what makes it a good scene! If you plan to improve the scene later, then maybe mention it in the scene description or in a comment.
3. Don't pay attention to others who tell you what is wrong with your scene, or why you didn't do it THEIR way. You do things YOUR way, which is the best way that you know how. And I, for one, have always been impressed with your excellent scenes (especially the animated ones that you've done, such as the one about recycling!). Your scenes are AWESOME! _o_
I hope you have a nice vacation, Golden Freddy. I really mean that. :)
You have been registered on Algobox for only ONE DAY, and now you are telling everyone Good Bye? That's pretty strange!
Hey guys,
I deleted all of the offensive comments here, and if I see more of that kind of bullying or just being rude and offensive, you will risk being banned. mia555 has just as much right to use Algobox as any of you. If he does something that's offensive or if he breaks the Rules, then report him. But please do not bad-mouth him. And the same goes for everyone.

Thanks
Don't worry, INH.... Faytree hasn't gone over to the dark side!

faytree -- This scene is rather interesting because you don't just make the colors change, like what is normally done when you want to flash different colors. Here, you wait a specified time period (1/4 second) until the circle dies, and then you spawn a new circle in its place! It's an unusual way to make something happen, but it works. BUT if anyone else uses these circles (I won't call the marbles) in their scenes, they may run into trouble because of the fact that these circles die and then get reborn 4 times per second.
Well, it's more complicated that that. Here's what I mean.....

Glue ONE of the circles to the background. Turn on gravity, and then start the scene. You may want to include a plane so that the circles have something to fall against. When you start the scene, the circle that was glued to the background is no longer glued to it! Now, with the scene running, try to drag any of the circles with the drag tool. You can only drag them for a very short distance and then the drag tool lets go of them when they respawn!

Those are just a couple of examples of what can happen with your method of flashing colors. Other unusual things may occur that we don't expect!
mia555 - I will delete this scene if it violates the Terms of Service in any way. In other words, if you break the rules! But if you are not breaking the rules, then you have nothing to worry about. So, it's not necessary to say, "Xray, please don't delete this scene" because either I will or I won't depending on what I see. You saying anything will not make any difference. Do you understand?

Okay, now that we have that taken care of, I have a suggestion for you. Rather than to post a scene telling everyone that you are bored, and you need ideas, why not take a look through the thousands of scenes on Algobox and get some ideas from those scenes? That way you don't waste people's time responding to your request. I doubt that many people will respond, and even if they do, they will probably give you ideas for scenes that you either can not do, or you don't want to do. And if you are truly bored, getting ideas for scenes to make is not going to magically make you not bored. You are probably bored because you are spending too much time on your computer and not getting fresh air and exercise that you would get if you went outdoors. You do know what outdoors are, don't you? When I was a kid, we did not have computers. We actually had to talk to other people face-to-face!!! (imagine that!!!).

Okay, enough with my rambling. Just go out and have some fun. The ideas for scenes will come after you get some exercise. It works for me!
meh... You are VERY smart, so it should be easy for you!
WOW! Injustice is a great name for such a mean-looking bot!
What changed your mind? :s

RAMTurtle,
Thanks for letting me know about my typo! I hate it when I do that, and the older I get, the worse the typos become! I did fix it anyways.

I agree with most of what you said, and I too need to be more careful about how I word my comments. You are right about pointing out what I said about teachers and parents not properly teaching manners to their kids. In some cases what I said was true, and I have seen some good examples of it. But in MOST cases, kids today are smarter and more in tune with what's happening in the world than we adults were when we were kids. I apologize if I offended anyone with what I said. I really am a nice guy and I have a lot of friends who would tell you that. I just happen to have volunteered for a difficult job which in some ways is like being a police officer. Some people love cops and some people hate them. It's just the nature of the job. I cannot expect to be liked by everyone, but that would be an ideal situation, and I will try to work toward that goal. I want Algobox to be a healthy and friendly community that everyone can enjoy, and I am trying my best now to make that happen.

THANKS AGAIN!
RAMTurtle - As you can see, I have not had any other comments about the knife not working. Therefore, the problem that you described must be caused by something in your computer.
I have one word that describes this scene perfectly: "WOW"!

I must admit, though, that I had a little trouble at first trying to figure out your instructions. For example in instruction line #1, it says, " Use the water inlet to create a flow.....". What does "use" mean? Do I push something? Do I move something? Well, you see what I mean. And then in line #2, it says, "Remove the heavy weight......". It took me a while to find the heavy weight that you referred to because there are so many intricate parts to this scene. After a while I finally got things to move, and I must say that you did a fabulous job on this. BRAVO!
Ultragamer564 - InsertNameHere is right. Now don't tell me that you did not read my message scene HERE that talks about posting worthless scenes like this one that tells everyone that you are bored, among other things. I think that you posted this just to push my buttons, right? You are testing me to see how far you can push me, right? I guess you must enjoy getting banned, right? I would like to hear your excuses for posting this message scene within just a couple hours of my post. Did you do it just to irritate me?
