Okay, so what language is that? And why are you telling me that you are fasting? Sorry, I do not understand.
You go to school, don't you? Just tell your teacher or the Principal that you need help. Or go to a friend's house or a neighbor's house to call the police. There must be a time when you will be away from home and that's when you can take action. If Social Services people determine that your mom was in fact beating you, then they might arrest her and you will never have to be afraid of her again.
You will probably go to a Foster family. It may or may not be fun, but at least they will not beat you or abuse you in any way!
Sam, at this point I don't know if what you are telling us is the truth or not. I hope that you are not simply using a phony story of your being abused just so that you will have people to chat with. If that's what you are doing, then SHAME ON YOU! But if you are truly being abused like you claim you are, then stop chatting with people on Algobox because we are not professionals who can help you. You need to contact the authorities so that you can be put in contact with people who CAN help you. Now stop wasting time chatting here, and go get some help!
faytree - Except for his dad's name (which I deleted) there is nothing in the scene or in the comments that shows his real name or his location. So, I believe it is safe for him.

Sam - If you ever decide that you want this scene deleted, just let me know either in this scene comments, or in any of my own scene comments, and it will be done.

Good luck!

Oh, by the way, if you don't mind, please let us know down the road how things have worked out for you.

Thanks

How to avoid banned? Easy: Don't break the rules!
I am in the U.S.A.

There are other Algodoo members in Malaysia. Did you know that? I should not say who they are for privacy.
It probably would have turned out much better if you had been bored while you were making it. But it really isn't that bad. Good job!

What did you mean by "credit to Xray"?
There, I shut down my botmin, and now the real me is back. Sorry about that. Those guys at Algoryx need to do a better job programming these bots.

My step daughter loves South Park, and she keep telling me that I should watch it, but it's just not my style. You can call me Awesome if you want to, though.
Because I did the messages.

HUH? :bonk:
Why is age important? Let's just say that I'm not a kid anymore, and I'm not quite old enough to be put into a Rest Home. How's that for a non-answer?

EDIT: I'll change my answer to this: I am probably the oldest person who uses Algobox, and that includes kilinich. He is VERY old, and if I'm older than he is, well you can pretty much guess how old I am. :)

I have no idea what you are talking about. So, until you start to make some sense, I'm not going to comment any more.

Bye
Thanks, The Linkage! I concur with everything you said except there's a little typo. You said "Algoryx doesn't work in Algodoo anymore....", but I'm pretty sure that you meant to say, "Algoryx doesn't work on Algodoo anymore....".

ChoCoPieGames - The Linkage is correct. Use the search feature in the forum before posting this kind of scene. But even beyond that, not only does Algoryx NOT support Algodoo (the physics simulation program that runs on your computer) any longer, but they also will not spend much time and money supporting Algobox (this website). They may make tiny changes down the road, but the kind of thing that you are asking for is major, and I can guarantee you that they will not make such a huge investment in time and money that that would require.

Um...., sure, SA. You are correct about me being over 40. No more guessing now, Okay? lol

And my favorite music is classic Rock from the 70's and 80's (Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Boston, Pink Floyd, and a few other awesome Rock bands).
@faytree - Of course! Queen is one of my favorite groups of all time! It was a very sad day when Freddy died, because the group died with him. :'(
Good job, faytree!

When I first read that you made a scene about an "air brake" I wasn't thinking about the kind that race cars use, but rather the kind that large trucks use. Trucks have an engine-driven air pump which compresses air into a cylinder. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, it causes compressed are to escape from the cylinder and it pushes a piston that causes the brake shoes to expand putting pressure on the brake drum, which stops the truck. But that is very different from what you made. You did a great job on showing and explaining how that type of air brake works. Very good demo! _o_

FYI: Air Brake

I find it interesting, but not surprising, that NO ONE followed your instruction in the scene exactly as it was written. If they did, then they would have written: "real" (lower case r, including quotes).
Thanks, SA.

I already banned Cahir for a period of 5 days because of posting his hate scene. I told him if he does anything like that again, then the ban will be permanent.
Emanuel - I have an idea that would not only benefit the community of Algodoo users, but it could also be very profitable for Algoryx. Here's how it would work:

1. Repackage Algodoo so that it "looks" like a different product that is dedicated to marble races and "Algicathlon" (or however it is spelled) events. The new software product might be called "Marbledoo" or "Marble Race-a-thon" or whatever. Include a user manual that young kids could understand.

2. Create another website that is similar to Algobox, but is dedicated to marble races and Algicathlons.

3. The original Algobox will be dedicated to Algodoo and scenes that make use of ALgodoo's amazing simulation features (like it once was).

With a repackaged software product, you would have marble race kids wanting to purchase the software in order to use it on the marble race website. Make the website in such a way that it will only accept scenes that were made with the new marble race software product, and will NOT accept the original Algodoo product. That way, only marble races and Algicathlons made with the new product can be used on the new website, and scenes made with the new marble race product cannot be used on the old Algobox website.

If you did this, you would make everyone happy because the kids who are only interested in marble races and colored stick people will have their own dedicated software product and website, and the older group who are interested mainly in physics simulations will have their own software and website. Based on the huge popularity of marble races, I think that Algoryx will profit from the sales of the new marble race software product.
You are only 8 years old and you use profanity?! Don't your parents teach you about not swearing, and communicating with other people with good manners? If you use profanity now without even giving it a second thought, how will your communication habits be by the time you are an adult? :o

I hope that you learned something from this experience. :)
In my opinion, you tried to cram way too much information in this scene for a new person learning how to script. It is just too confusing.

This tutorial does not start out by explaining the very basics of what a variable is, and what a timer is, and how certain geometries interact with each other, etc. But those things are essential to understand BEFORE you start giving examples of common scripts. So, what I'm saying is, you cannot do a good job of teaching Thyme scripting in one scene. To do it right would require a series of scenes, beginning with the basic descriptions of variables, events, math functions, and the physics simulation properties such as onCollide, onLaserHIt, onHitByLaser, etc.

The bottom line is, you will not teach a new user how to program Thyme by confusing and frustrating them, which is what this scene does. Sorry, no offense intended, but I speak the truth.
SA - You said, "But he is one of the very few, that tried at least something for a tutorial". Well, that's not quite true. If you search on the word "tutorial" in the title you will find a LOT of thyme tutorial scenes. Some of them are specific to certain functions (such as onCollide) and some are more general in nature. But they all lack teaching the basics. And that is because of two reasons: 1. The large amount of time that it would take for someone to explain the basic functions and features of Thyme. and 2. Because most new Thyme scripters do not know and understand the basics, and they cannot teach what they themselves do not know and understand! Nearly all of the tutorials start out the same way by giving a few examples of the more common scripts (such as onCollide). They basically say, "Copy this line of script and paste it into the onCollide script area. Then when you press Play, the color of the box will change when two boxes collide". That's not a good tutorial because the student has no idea what they are doing or WHY they did it that way. It's like trying to teach someone a new language without teaching them basic grammar and syntax rules. Without understanding the basics, a person will be very limited with what they have learned.

A good "test" to find out how effective a tutorial is, would be to have a new student with no prior knowledge of Thyme script, read the tutorial and see if they actually can become an effective script writer after practicing the lessons for some period of time. So, I'm hoping that someone with the desire to learn Thyme scripting would read and practice the lessons in this scene, and then report back to us here in the comments to let us know what they have learned. If they are able to write script that performs a task that is not explicitly written in the scenes (in other words, do not copy and past the script, but rather to develop their own), then I would admit that the scene was in fact effective and useful.

I give credit to GMtester for trying, but he's going about it the wrong way. He may have a year's worth of knowledge in his brain, but to just dump the entire cache of his knowledge in one scene without giving any thought to how the lessons should be structured and laid out, is not the right way to go about it.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth. :)
This IS better than your first scene, GMtester! It's not as cluttered and stuff just thrown about. Keep making improvements, and it should become quite useful if you put the Thyme..... er..... um..... time into it!

Good job so far!
AWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.............. He's adorable! A real cutie!
CubeBag - You asked me a question in another scene in which I told everyone to not chat with each other in the comments. That scene was meant to direct your questions and suggestions to Emanuel. So, so ahead and ask your question HERE in these comments.

Now, what was your question about sending messages? What kind of messages do you want to send and to whom? Please explain in detail so that I could give you an answer.
