That's easy! You placed a big laser so that the beam shines inside of that weird shape. And you put invisible liquid inside of the shape to reflect the laser beam. Right?
Just kidding, Wolfan777! You did not need to write a note to ask people if you can be excused. To be honest, I doubt that anyone even cares if you leave Algobox for a while. In the future, if you need to leave for any reason, JUST GO! Don't write notes asking if you can be excused because it just doesn't matter to anyone. And you shouldn't be writing personal messages as scenes anyway. Algobox is not a forum or chat room, and it should not be used like one. THANKS!
teard - First of all, I am just an Admin for Algobox, and I do not work for Algoryx (the company that developed the simulation program, Algodoo). Therefore, I cannot make changes to Algodoo or to Algobox (the scene sharing website). Secondly, Algoryx no longer supports Algodoo with bug fixes or improvements. They may do something with it down the road, but I am not privy to that information. If you would like to suggest any changes or bug fixes to Algodoo, there is a spot in the Algodoo forum where users can post their suggestions or to ask questions. Click on "forum" link above to go to the Algodoo forum.
Marble Man - What are you back from? How long were you gone? The only thing that you need to know is, robbing banks is still illegal in nearly every country.
Concerning ropes and chains, just select the rope or chain tool, and then you can add a rope or chain to your scene by holding down the left mouse button as you drag the cursor across the scene. When the rope or chain is as long as you want it to be, just let go of the mouse button. It's that easy!
Be careful that you don't hang yourself with your new rope or chain!
So, why did you laugh when I told you that your scene wasn't working? What is so funny about that? Most people would say "Thank you", and then ask how the scene can be fixed or improved. When you laugh after someone gives you feedback, it's like saying "I don't care about my scene, and I don't care about your comment". With an attitude like that, no one will want to help you in the future.
Wahvu - Thanks for reporting the nasty language in the comments. I deleted the comment, but there's no point in sending the user a warning since he hasn't posted anything since 2010. At least people won't have to read his bad words any longer!
Look, when YOU play the scene, does it print more than four $100 bills? If it does, then for some reason it works for you but not for me. But if it does not print more than four $100 bills, then the scene does not work as you described it. In other words, it doe not produce infinite money. Do you understand now?
Anyhow, I agree with Insert. In addition, if you would like to jazz it up a bit, add some background scenery like houses, trees, hills, etc. Nice job so far!
Um.... Your bullet is about 200mm wide, and so it's not even close to being 9mm! Not only that, but you shoot the entire cartridge out of your "gun" rather than just the bullet, which tells me that you know little to nothing about guns. Better stick with marble races!
Oh, and one more thing, s_noonan.... If you like my idea of making the egg burn, maybe you could make the stovetop burner adjustable so that people can set the temperature and cook time in order to prevent the egg from burning! In other words, give the user some control of the process!
WOW! Brilliant! Is your algorithm based on any well-known data smoothing algorithm?
It would be more useful (IMHO) if the user can select the number of steps or iterations, and then have it stop smoothing.
After it smoothed your sample polygon for a while, I stopped it and cut the smooth polygon into a number of sharp, jagged pieces, and the smooth function continued working on those new pieces!
I hate to point out problems, but how else would you know about them if I remain silent?
Okay, when the scene starts, it shows "up, down, left, right" arrow keys, and then they disappear, but the arrow keys don't seem to have any effect on anything.
The lighten/darken knob gets messed up quite easily when moving it with the grab tool. You have to be very careful to not corrupt it. It needs to be made more robust.
After placing the bread in the toaster with the grab tool, I can remove the bread before it finishes being toasted and it continues to turn darker while outside of the toaster.
After the toast is done being toasted, I am not able to place it back into the toaster to make it darker. This toaster is a one-shot toaster!
Other than those few minor exceptions, the scene works well, and is quite clever. Good job!
Holy cow! Only eight years old! Well, you do quite well for a kid as young as you are, and in addition, I assume that English is not your native language.
Anyhow, yes, I was only joking around with you, and I'm sure that the other guys were too. So, no bad feelings I hope!
faytree is correct! A brain transplant will be needed after watching too many Algocathwhatever races and too many marble races, not to mention the tons of rejoins and elimination races. (God help us!)
