Hey, no need to send so many comments in order to get my attention. Keep in mind that I am HUMAN, and therefore, as a human, I occasionally need to SLEEP! So, if you write a comment to me and I don't immediately respond, it's either because I was sleeping, or I was doing something else. I do have a life outside of Algodoo!
Okay, I undeleted your scene. Near the top of your scene, you should see the word Edit. Just click on that word, and then you should be able to edit the description. If you cannot edit your scene, it's probably because you use the Algodoo built-in browser, which is very limited in what you can do. If you cannot edit the description, let me know and I will edit it for you.
Don't you mean 22KW (kilowatts)? "Watts" is a unit of power (E*I). And 22KV (22000 volts) just doesn't seem right for this application of blowing up a 12V battery!
GoAnimateCPUAlgodoo - YOU HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO BAN ANOTHER MEMBER. AND IF YOU CONTINUE TO FALSLY MAKE OTHER MEMBERS BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE AN ADMIN, THEN YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM ALGOBOX. YOU ARE BEING BANNED FOR TEN DAYS FOR USING PROFANITY IN YOUR COMMENTS. WE DO NOT ALLOW THAT AT ALL.
Nice job! The only thing that I did not like is you have the camera following the arm. Camera following is not necessary when the field of view is narrow or limited. You only need following for such things like race cars, airplanes, and other such things that can move far outside of the field of view. Other than that very minor and picky detail, you did a great job on it!
Yes, I did notice the "shark teeth" on the cans of Coke! Sure, I'll take a look at it a little later this evening, but right now I have to run an errand for wifey.
Later....
EDIT: Wow! This is really strange! I've tried everything that I know of to make the gripper hold on to things, but they just slide out as if they had a coating of grease on them! Sorry, but I am at a loss to figure this out! Maybe someone else has some ideas.
Ok nick. Just kidding about cleaning your room. This scene reminded me of the time when my own kids were very young and they always had their toys all over the house. So, my wife and I were always yelling at them to CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!!
The explosion is awesome, but I especially like the rising, bubbling, mass of intensely radioactive debris that would send any and all onlookers to their graves. This is WAY TOO COOL, Phil!
Hey, welcome back to Algobox! Hope you will stick around and upload more awesome scenes like you used to make back in the "Good 'ol days" when Algodoo was transitioning from Phun!
EDIT: By the way, the keyboard keys do not seem to have any effect on this. The vehicle just stays put on ground level. And your description says to use A/S as control keys, but they are W and S according to the laser "Activation Key" setups.
tomskiwomski - Did you try moving the transparency slider on each fix joint and axle? You can get to the transparency slider by right-clicking on each fix joint and axle, and then hover the cursor over "appearance". You will then see the color sliders. The slider labeled "A" is the transparency. Slide it all the way to the left, and then each item will vanish! They will still function, but users will not see them!
This will work Okay as long as the box does not get rotated. If the box rotates in a scene, then the edges of the box will not be detected in their proper positions. That's because the script does not take the box "angle" into consideration. If you want to detect a box in a scene in which the box might get rotated, then you will need to use a script that's a little more complex. Here is a very good tutorial by kilinich in the Algodoo forum that explains how to do this with a circle, a box, and a polygon: Mouse Over Effects
I erased his comment so that no one has to read it again. It's one thing to criticize a scene, but to tell someone to go somewhere else in not acceptable and I will not tolerate it. That is almost as bad as using profanity, which I do not tolerate either.
This is an old problem that's been around since the early days of Algodoo. What happens is the gear and the gray rectangle have the same collision layer (A) which causes the gear to become unstable when it is in contact with the rectangle. You can prevent that from happening by either giving them different collision layers, or simply move the rectangle away from touching the gear. Simple!
BTW - You need not say "Credit to all" because it is meaningless.
nadein13boot - I wish there were a way to make marble race scenes disappear, but unfortunately there is no way to do that! Just ignore them if you don't like them.
lethalsquirrel - You are absolutely correct! And for the most part, copyrighted material will be ignored by me (I hope Algoryx doesn't read this!) unless we should get a complaint from the original author of the image or other material. If you go back through the many tens of thousands of scenes that are posted here on Algobox, there is probably a high percentage of scenes that have copyrighted material in them, and no one has done anything about it. But if (for example) the Disney Corporation should complain about their copyrighted material appearing in one or more scenes, THEN we would definitely have to take action.
edwedu - Do you use a regular Internet browser such as I.E., Firefox, etc? OR, do you use the Algodoo built-in browser when you upload or download scenes?
Thanks Emanuel! That link is for you, edwedu. You will have to use that link to view the Terms of Service until changes are made to add a "Rules" button to the Algodoo browser.
