This is pretty cool! Sometimes it appears to rotate clockwise, and other times counter-clockwise. It's because the brain "sees" something else that the eyes see! Nice job!
I don't believe it's a bug. If you set restitution = 0 on all four planes, then they won't spawn multiple boxes. The strange thing that I see is that all of the spawned boxes are glued to each other, even though the variable for glue is "false" on each plane. That particular bug was already noted a long time ago.
With a real yo-yo, it continues spinning when it gets to it's lowest point on the string, and stays there until the player jerks the string, at which point the yo-yo then winds the string as it climbs back up the string. I know that would be much more difficult to do in Algodoo, but if you want it to be realistic.......
Easy, in "pos" just replace the script with [] (square brackets). After you hit return, Algodoo will fill in the current x and y position of the plane. It will not move!
Nice game! The graphics are awesome, and the 3D effect is way cool!
Suggestion: Show some sort of numeric indicator for the up/down keys. I see the up/down red arrows (make them easier to see) but I have no idea how many times I can press the up key or down key, so there needs to be a digital value that indicates the angle. Something similar to the arm that shows the strength of the throw.
EDIT... Sometimes the game quits working after one or two throws. I can change the strength, but cannot throw any more rocks unless I reset the game.
Sorry about your mom. Hope she feels better soon and gets back to normal life quickly.
Kilinich - Yes, I know that it was used before, but no one has made a tutorial about it before. I wanted to show people who have never heard of this technique.
