According to your description, this bolt mechanism is:
simple, reliable, pretty, functional, incredibly strong, almost perfect illusion of rotation, very modifiable, exceedingly simple, and last but not
least, effective. Wow, that sounds just like President Obama describing himself!
Well, kidding aside, this bolt does seem to be fairly well made, and it certainly is simple, but I have seen bolts on Algodoo rifles (the ones made by ngphil for example) that are as good if not better than this one. And concerning the rotation illusion, I honestly do not see it. When I pull back the bolt (I assume that I'm supposed to grab the red rectangle) nothing seems to rotate. Am I doing something wrong? Also, you show two bolt mechanisms in the scene that are slightly different. Why?
There are of course a lot of other parts that are not shown here which could affect how the bolt operates if they were installed (e.g., the firing pin, the extractor, the ejector, the bolt handle, etc.). And of course it may operate poorly or fail to operate at all when installed in a rifle with live ammo in the magazine.
So, in summary, I think you did a good job on the mechanism, but I do not think that it's as great as you described it. Sorry, but that's my honest opinion. And concerning your rather bold statement, "This opens up a whole new world of firearm technology in Algodoo!", I highly doubt that.
Why don't you hold off uploading scenes that are not even close to being finished? This one does absolutely nothing, and therefore is just a waste of time and space.
epicface129 - The same thing happened to me when I was testing it, but it happened only one time and so I didn't worry about it. But now that I see it can happen again, I'll have to look into it. THANKS!
It appears to me (and I'm no expert with motorcycles) that the swing-arm has no suspension to support it. You need springs and/or shocks of some sort to hold it in place and to give the bike a smooth ride.
Yes, these ideas can be extended and modified in many ways. It just depends on how much effort a person wants to put into protecting their scenes from pilferage.
Yes, you did. But you bypassed it because you were looking for it and wanted to defeat it. So, what you did is not at all impressive. But if these methods were hidden in some other scenes in which the scene thiefs were not expecting them, then they might actually work as intended. Time will tell....
All you say is "You are blue". What kind of instructions are that? I've never seen this type of game before, and I'm sure that there are others who have never seen this game, so you should give instructions on how to play the game, and also explain what keys are used to do what actions.
Darn... I was hoping that this was a fireworks contest! Your fireworks display in this scene is awesome! Unfortunately, I am not very creative at making firearm skins, but I may give it a try anyway (if you promise not to laugh).
Minnesota cannot have a tsunami because it is not located near the Atlantic or Pacific oceans. In fact it is located in the northern middle portion of the country.
