Also known as the Panzer IV, the tank saw extensive action in WW2 from 1939 to 1945. Often seen as the counterpart of America''s M4 Shermans and the USSR's T-34, the Panzer IV was a formidable enemy. It had undergone many revisions throughout it's lifetime and was the main workhorse for Germany's army. It also served as the chassis for many other vehicles, such as the Jagpanzer IV. Eventually outclassed by the T34-85 and other tanks of the late war.
