I think that this works by centrifugal force. maybe you can show the effect a bit more by putting the motor at 80 or 100 rpm

I think my brain just broke. And The Linkage, what makes you think this scene has scripts?
I mean, Steve making scenes without scripts? no way
I never gave it much thought, but I can see now that I rely quite a bit on scripting. Sometimes it's a good way to make up for mechanical deficiencies.

The idea is to convert rpm to torque and then mostly lock
solid as the driven member reaches the same speed as the driver:huh:

I concur. This doesn't work much like a real torque converter. Maybe I will give it another shot some other time once I figure out how a torque converter really works.
