NEW:
Fixed the rope bug
Added circle test and gear test

New again:
Removed the circle test (it lagged and broke the walker)
Replaced it with another rope

Removed the two rope tests and combined them into one
Less slope on the rope test = easier to climb

Added more tests
Descriptive signs

Changed the rocking platform a bit
Made it easier to get on and off of the rocking platform

it does VERY well on all but the rope (i had to mod the rope by removing the no self colide)
that is one complex leg for this!

The leg mechanism isnt so bad, its just got a very long lever action to produce a straight motion. Look at the blue tracer on the gray leg

It won't make it up the rope because it slips too badly (like trying to drive up an ice covered road on a hill). I increased the rope friction to infinity, but it still slips, preventing it from completing the course. Were you able to make it climb the rope?

I fixed the rope bug.... again.
Ropes are very finnicky and hard to really make good use of.

I was going to power this one with a spawn engine but my rotary engines produce too much back-torque (the housing tries to spin opposite of the engine's rotation) Look at my scene Ugly complicated offroader challenge: my entry to see what i mean.

FYI - Rather than enter a new comment each time you think of something to add, you can EDIT an existing comment, and add to it. That way you won't clutter up your page with a zillion comments.;)

I just re-save the scene to edit it. Usually I need to change the description because I added/changed something and it would need to be saved anyway.
