This sniper rifle utilizes a special high-velocity ammunition. To compensate for the recoil, the entire locked bolt assembly rides rearward.

To use: Magazine is already inserted. Cycle action like any other bolt action by dragging the operating handle upwards, back, forward, and locking it down. Fire with enter/return or with trigger.

EDITS:
-Stabilized rifle
-Extended bolt and carrier motion range to reduce recoil even more
-Optimized bolt carrier mechanism to reduce failed feeds.
-Added a second magazine

The rifle itself works Okay, but I find that the way you have it secured with only the one spring in front makes it unstable. That is, while operating the bolt, at times the entire rifle would be pulled around, and occasionally the magazine would fall out. Suggestion: Stabilize the rifle by adding another spring on the rear mount.

Good job!

Phil - I don't know if the problem is the rifle or ME, but now it won't fire at all. I made sure that there's a round in the chamber and the bolt is locked. But when I press the Enter key OR manually pull the trigger, nothing happens!:s

EDIT: I just figured out what happened. I was pulling the bolt back too far, and I was also pulling the barrel back which must have messed something up. When I pull the bolt back just far enough so that it clears the magazine, then it loads a round properly and fires properly.

yeah, I am trying to come up with a mechanism that allows the bolt carrier to only move when the operating handle is locked. Otherwise, malfunctions happen. Expect future updates XD
I am having trouble will feeding and ejection mechanisms.I want to be able to make a weapon that realisticly feeds and ejects rounds. Also, what is a gas piston. And my final request:Could you make a forum post explaining these things if you haven't already?I have trouble with just seeing the complete thing and a simple explanation describing what a certain mechanism does without intricate detail.
VZstrikez08,

I could post a forum topic explaining everything as much as possible. I can also make example scenes to show how these things function. The mechanisms can be a bit finicky for some things, and a little TLC and tiny adjustments make a huge difference in performance. There are times where I completed a complex firearm in under two hours and uploaded a little later after making sure everything works well. Then there have been times I was pulling my hair out over something as simple as the magazine follower being fussy. Or a fail to feed (Xray, your PM40 was a pain to get feeding properly XD.) I will post a tutorials post in the tutorials forum with links to DIY scenes (interactive tutorials) as well as explanation scenes.
