Scene tag

This is going to be given a lot of work soon. The gun works, but the reliability is a bit poor compared to some of my other guns.

Firing modes: semi and auto

To use: carefully insert extended magazine, drop the slide, select firing mode (default is semi), and fire with enter or by dragging trigger.

Uses a mechanism similar to what the real Glock uses.

HAPPY 100Th SCENE!!!

EDITS:

-improved everything. Went through an entire mag without a problem.

-pre-inserted magazine for you.

-turned off clouds

-Improved feed and ejection

-optimized slide operation

-dropping slide with release now feeds the chamber

-fixed 'sticky slide" issue.

-edited settings to hep prevent stove-piping

-Fixed sim speed

-Improved reliability

-improved slide even more

-edited spring tensions for better performance

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! You have been around since the early days of Phun and the initial release of Algodoo (May 2009)!

!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

BTW - The gun worked well for me. I just had a little trouble loading the magazine, but I always have that same issue with virtually every gun on Algodox (Therefore, the problem must be ME! )

LOL Thanks Xray! I made a few edits, and I just updated to improve performance.

Um... The slide seems to be a little sluggish, and it doesn't always return to battery. I restarted the scene a number of times, just to see if it would happen often, and it did. My gut feeling is that maybe some of the parts need a little less friction between them (a little "oil"?). What do you think?

Oh, and one more thing.... When I release the slide stop, the gun does not fire until I manually pull the slide back to chamber the first round.

I am fixing that now

Edit: made corrections

Overall, feed and ejection seem to be improved, but still not 100% (sorry). The slide is still a little "sticky" at times going forward into battery, and there is the occasional misfire or bad ejection (stove pipe).

And just as a "by the way", I noticed that you had the simulation speed set at 0.50. Was that intentional or was it an oversight?

If the gun performs well for you, then the problems that I'm seeing just may be due to the speed of my computer, or how Algodoo happens to be set up. So, don't make changes based on what I am saying especially if no one else is having problems. I would feel bad if you put a lot of time into fixing a problem that only I am seeing! :o
The simulation speed is at 0.5? I'll fix that (boy do people really dissect scenes these days) Thanks
Hey, Xray, you help me out a lot. Don't think of it as telling me my gun is terrible or that you are bugging me. View it as I do: constructive help on improving something that could use some improvement. If often get no feedback from anybody else, but when I do, I typically get much more done. view each scene I create as an interactively created scene, where I submit a rough draft, and I get feedback on what to improve. The more the merrier in regards to help/ constructive criticism.
Oh good! I'm glad that you have a good attitude about accepting constructive criticism. Some people cannot take any criticism at all, even if the result would be to improve things for them. Those people are either insecure or immature (or both).

I'm sure this particular gun just needs a little tweaking to get the action to move a little more smoothly and reliably. It's almost there!
I think I may know what the issue is. I will fix it in a while

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
Much better now! Good job!
Thank you!_o_
