To make best transmissions connect two objects with hinges, sepair them (you'll see a stretched hinge) and type in the hingeConstant part of the script menu 1e-030. That will make the hinge extremely stiff, making almost no strenght. Then you can use auto brake to transmit power from one circle to another.
Note that this transmission can get unsynced after some time. To avoid this use bend (you put bend=true, bendConstant = +inf and bendTarget = 0 (try to put the two objects at the same angle, if you can't play with values like pi or lower, even negative))
