Very cool scene but I'll be damned if I can sail that ship
not sure what I am doing wrong

I'm having problems getting the ship to move too! There must be some trick to making a sailboat ride the wind, but I haven't figured it out! I can get the ship to move by dragging it!!!

The flags on the ship show the direction of the wind, face the sails in the direction of the wind and the ship will move, using the rudder to keep the ship on course.

Of course, when the wind's coming directly at you you're rather fucked, unless there is something I'm missing.

Thanks for the advice, Ravenplucker! It helped some, but the wind doesn't seem to want to cooperate with me! I get a couple of meters away from the dock, and then I lose wind power complelely. Then I have to cheat by dragging the boat with my drag tool. I'm going to stick a thruster on the boat, then those damned pirates with eat my balls (um... cannon balls, that is!)

You have to get up speed then hoist the sails and make a sharp 90 degree turn
turn the sails the other way and drop them
repeat as needed to sail into the wind
I can out run them almost every time now but havnt managed to sink em YET
Update, I dont think you can stop the bad guys by shooting at them alone
Crashing into them works great though
Got them stopped and sailed all the way around the island took about an hour

What a great scene! I havent updated to b15 yet because the last time I updated it crashed my Algodoo and I just got it going again. This scene my be what makes me update anyway....lol

I can't get the cannons to fire, I keep holding enter but nothing is happening.

You must aim by turning ship and wait for cross became red (guns ready).
