Nice job! You should look into other types of engines, experiment and see whats best.
My Collision engine got to just under 60rads (Google says thats over 1000 RPM?)
Use Kilinich's K-Probe!
BTW what's the scene? I'll try to put the k-probe for u.

If you want to speed it up, you should give the pistons a shorter place to move (move the rods closer to the center of the flywheel).
