Mossberg 500A 12 gauge hunting shotgun.
All of the pump action shotguns that I have made always used scripts to operate properly. That's why I've decided to create this scene. Basically I wanted to create a shotgun with every feature found on the real ones. Mechanism is loosely based on real Mossberg 500, which means is pretty realistic, but there are maaaany differences from the real one.
So the features include:
- Realistic bolt locking mechanism
- Slide stop
What is is for? Its the feature that disallows you from opening the bolt accidentally.
So it locks the bolt closed until you either fire the gun (that is pull the trigger) or disengage it manually (in this case by pushing the up arrow while opening the bolt)
- Shell loading ramp inspired by the real one found in Mossberg 500
- Shell stop and shell interruptor, which gives you ability to unload the gun without cycling the action
- Working safety (nothing new though)
- Completely new shells that even include the wad
And most importantly - no scripts used!
Tubular magazine has 5 shells capacity.
Red shells = buckshot
White shells = rifled slugs
Basic keyboard controls:
[enter] - pulling the trigger (you can also operate all of the parts manually)
[up arrow] - disengaging the slide stop
[1] - deleting the skin to see the mechanism
Thanks for Dual Desert Eagle for making the instruction vid.
Notice: shells like to pop right out of the mag if you push them too far and let go.
That's because pushing them deep into the mag allows them to build up enough speed on their way back so they go right through shell stop without colliding. Just push the shells in until you see that unloading button returned to original position.
