It will crash if you land it too fast. A downward velocity of 10m/s is pretty much the max it can take.

Also, I noticed I forgot to say that you can press numpad 0 to brake.

I expected a real aircraft engine.

A passenger airplane cannot fly straight in the air. You should try to fake a real airplane.

Select the whole plane and then ctrl+g to group. Press ctrl+u to ungroup.
