ALGODOO ONLY (apparently)

This is a little compact tower I made.
"A" and "D" to go left and right,
"Enter" to make it turn into the tower.

Ahh yes, and his name is Percy. (suggested by my mother, in fact)

It now raises itself faster. I finally figured out and fixed what made it go off-balance at higher speeds.

Could you make a Phun-version please? When i downloaded this scene and opened it, it is empty.
Oh, you r good designer. Keep going!
I didn't know that Phun couldn't run Algodoo scenes, I just thought there were some differences in springs... Bugger
I'll do it later on, when my internet isn't crapping itself and dying.

Thanks Kilinich! :D
God! this is epic :)
Kinda looks like something "Someone Else" would make
Ravenplucker would you like to a Coperative scene? You have really good presetation and nice mechanics! (also 10/10 for the scene) :D
Very creative design
Really? I thought he was more thyme oriented.

If I agreed to do a collab I would very likely just get bored/frustrated and leave. I wouldn't be terribly good to work with. ;)
Ok no problem  if you ever need some help scripting just ask!
I just meant like how it looked
But me and him have completely different styles
Very nicely made and detailed, but when I turn it into a tower it topples over by itself. )|(
Hmmm, that certainly shouldn't be happening. Atleast, it's never happened in mine...
I noticed that it only works at 100Hz sim speedóI often leave mine set higher on non-laggy scenes and that seemed to cause it to fail. I don't know if that's the problem for you.
Hmm, I didn't test it on other sim speeds, mainly because I don't know how to change it.
As always, EPICNESS.

I consider myself to be Phundamentalist-Thymechanic, meaning that I usually prove something can be done mechanically before Thyming it to reduce lag, but not always.

@mrmegawarrior's first comment on this scene- Thank you, but no. We do have completely different styles. I just use the default palette, then usually move fixates, hinges, and tracers to front.

@Ravenplucker's last comment- Open the console with ~ or F11.
Type: sim.frequency
Press enter/return.
This shows the current and default values for sim.frequency.
Type: sim.frequency = 10000.

Hope this helps.

Oh, and this would be even more epic if it was not triggered by destroy key and it was somehow retractable. Maybe angle the top of the stilt bars so they self-align when pushed into the machine hard enough, push them straight down directly from the top and use the ratchet thing to pull them back up.

But still, You, Ravenplucker, are a mechanical genius.
can you make it so that it raises itself higher?
maybe make it wider for added stability and more space for the parts?
@Someone Else
Awesome, thanks! *saves to text document*
I originally did try to make it retractable, but ran into a fair few problems along the way. I just decided to ditch that idea and make it a once-only.

Deciding how wide it would be was a problem for me. Something that still irks me is that the legs seem too spindly. If it was wider than the legs would seem even thinner in comparison. I was originally going to thicken up the base and add stability by making a system that automatically added cross-braces. Alas, a lack of collision groups and not-knowing-how-to-actually-do-it prevented me.

Which is annoying, because now I think I know how to do it.

Awesome! It works teriffic:)
i have algodoo and the scene is empty
Great mechanism! Love it!
