please note that textures increase file size dramatically and still dont look as good as hand drawn

also note that hand drawn creations attract more users
nice tutorial:tup:
I agree with jakedmoon, usually the hand drawn scenes look better. Sometimes I use textures in a scene, and some of my scenes are hand drawn, and a few are a hybrid of the two (But often the textured parts of the scene look out of place with the hand drawn elements). In the end I am usually most proud of my hand drawn ones, but I think Qwesr1's tutorial is a nice help to someones first use of textures.

Thats true, there is nothing like a nice hand drawn scene but a lot of people arnt familiar with taking a bunch of polygons and rectangles and making a nice scene. But if you are then i 100% love a nice hand drawn scence. Anyways this for the newer people that arnt familiar with texturing.
I believe a tutorial like this has been done before, but this is a pretty good tut. Nice one.

P.S. A trick to getting the picture to be exactly the right size is to cut a corner off the rectangle, then click "Auto-position texture". This will make the proportions of the picture perfect. ;)
